I sing whatever I think of at the time. R enjoys Disney songs!

I sing everything to Lettie. I also prop her up on my legs when she's not being too wiggly (she's not a baby that really likes to be held too much so I take what I can get!) and we have sing-along time. I sing popular songs that I change the words to (like "Dynamite" and "I Like to Move It"--she likes those ones because we "dance", she loves to dance), I do occasionally sing "Hush Little Baby" but I had to goggle the words, I sing "Mary Had a Little Lamb" but I usually change the words, I sing all the Disney songs...basically whatever pops into my head! But I pretty much always interject her name into it and make up silly words about her

You can sing anything to her! I sing both kid songs (you tube is a great resource) and songs that I love like Christmas carols and regular music. I swear if you start early and often, your singing will automatically soothe them when they are older. My LO is 20 months and when she gets hurt and is crying, as soon add I start singing, she calms down immediately. It's a nice tool to have in your back pocket!

Also she is absolutely adorable!

He LOVES the ABCs, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and The Itsy Bitsy Spider, so we mostly sing those. And The Rainbow Connection

Lately I sing Joxor's (from Xena) theme song, but I substitute Xander's name for Joxor's. And "Mama" for "Gabby".

I may have also learned how to play it on the Fisher Price Xylephone...

Mostly baby songs. Itsy Bitsy Spider is her fave. I also sing You Are My Sunshine, If You're Happy & You Know It, Twinkle Twinkle, Wheels on the Bus.

I always sing stupid things to DS. Mostly things that we need to do, set to the tune of another song. Like "please let me brush your teeth" or "go to sleep before I have a nervous breakdown"

I sing mostly hymns and Christian children songs to LO. It's what I grew up hearing from my mom and grandma. Though sometimes I just make up stuff on the go!

I sing some nursery rhymes but when I forget the words I make up my own and try to keep the same tone or I just make up ridiculous songs to try and make him smile.

You are my sunshine is a favorite. Also I sing "rock me mama like a wagon wheel" when I'm rocking him to sleep. Haha

Just when we're up and about I sing everything. I'm so bad but he just loves it. Which is good enough for me.

I sing lots of baby songs.... I can't believe how many I remember!! Her favorites are Baa Baa Black Sheep, The Wheels on the Bus, Twinkle Twinkle and Dingle Dangle Scarecrow!

I sing childhood songs I remember, or look up the lyrics to ones I have forgotten. I have also made up songs for my LO. I like to sing You Are My Sunshine, but usually end up singing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes or The Barney Song.

Twinkle, Twinkle. ABCs. Itsy Bitsy Spider. Hush Little Baby. Were the most common nursery songs we sung.

I'd say Isnt She Lovely was the non-baby song we sung to her a lot. Really, we were always playing music (normally "regular" music) and singing, so she heard a lot.

@Glitter: same here. DS gets a lot of Jesus Loves Me. It's usually all I can think of on the fly!

I really need to get a playlist of typical children's nursery songs and listen to it for awhile so I can introduce some of the classics to him. I know parts of all of them but not the entire thing so I never sing them to him and I want him to grow up knowing them.

I sing a lot of everything! Baby songs that I knew already or have learned since she was born, old camp songs and random song I know. I also make up lyrics a lot (my mom has always done it, so it's a habit from childhood and I used to sing stuff to my dog.)

I sing lots of typical baby songs or I make up my own songs. When she was a newborn I used to sing the lullaby, Hush Little Baby don't say a word, mamas gonna buy you a mockingbird. Except those were the only lyrics I knew. So all my versus were about buying her a new iPad, or new iPhone...I should have written it all down, DH thought I was a wacko. I've since looked up the real lyrics. Man that lullaby is long!
