I feel like in our area there is always a spike in a certain name and then it fizzles out. Right now the popular girl name I've heard is Raylan. What do you think of it? (it does have various spellings happening, but this is the most common.)

We know a newborn boy named Rylan. Honestly, I don't like it (or variations) for either gender. It feels super country to me

Also, Raylan is a character on the show Justified (and the title of an Elmore Leonard novel) so I always think of that and it has a negative connotation for me. -

@T.H.O.U.: Raylan and Raelynn don't seem like the same name to me. I would put the stress on the first syllable of Raylan and on the second syllable of Raelynn.
Either way, not a fan.
