I think it's pretty but she will always have to spell it and people will always add an h to the end.

Do you say it like the boys name Noah?

I like it. So many people ask how to spell "Zuma". I thought it was common sense.

@loki: one that's close is "Nova". Might not have to always spell it. But not the same meaning.

@loki: I really like it. Actually when I saw it spelled as Noa, I automatically thought of a girls name and completely forgot that Noah (with the h) was a boys name. I don't think it will matter too much in reality if it sounds like a boys name. I say if you and DH like it, then go with it.

I think its really cute... and I have a simple first name and people still ask how to spell it...

I haven't run into any one named Noa, but immediately I liked the name!

I really love it, and the other names you've picked. I immediately read it as a girl's name, despite knowing little Noahs. And for what it's worth, my name is Jessica and I still have to spell it for people more than you'd think was really necessary. Noa is short if she does have to spell it out for people. I love your naming style!

I think it's really pretty! And as others have mentioned, I have to spell my name all the time (or people just spell it wrong, haha) and I've never minded.

I like it, and I wouldn't worry too much about the spelling. Both my first and my last name are about as common as you can get, and I'm always asked how to spell it.

@loki: it's her Hebrew name, so we don't use it in regular parlance too often, and when we do, we use it in circles that generally know how it is spelled. What I love about it is that it's very short and easy to correct people on... So it's not like spelling out a ten letter name. N-O-A. Everyone gets it on the first try. Yael (our other daughter's Hebrew name) is a bit tougher, on the other hand

@loki: Cohen is a sacred priestly name (and a last name in my family actually), so it's a little different than other Hebrew names.
