I have always loved Noa for a girl and my DH was adamantly against it. For some reason I mentioned it last night and he likes it again! So we've put it on the list.

I know it's a common Hebrew girl's name but it also is Japanese for my love or affection, apparently. Our last name is a Japanese last name starting with O. I think it flows really well but I worry a) she will have to always spell it, in addition to having to spell her last name b) people will think it's a boy's name.

I really want to give my baby a simple but unique name because our last name is so complicated. The other names on our list are Willa, Rose and Gemma. Middle name will probably be a family name - either Elizabeth or Dawn.

Thoughts on Noa?
