LO has really bad baby eczema that seems to be lingering around. I've used Aquaphor but that didn't seem to do much. I might try Vaseline next but was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions? Her doctor said we could use 1% hydrocortisone cream if it itches but she doesn't seem to notice yet.

Aquaphor was the only thing that worked for us. I apply it Fairly frequently, at every diaper change. I tried Vaseline first and it was not as effective as Aquaphor.
I noticed that LO's eczema also improved after we got a humidor for his room. We give him only short baths in lukewarm water.

We just started this two days ago, so I can't say how effective it is long-term. Our ped told us to us 1% hydrocortisone ointment, plus something to keep the moisture in. A few people recommended CeraVe to me. So far it's good. The ped also told us to limit baths to 5 minutes and put the cream on while he was still damp.
ETA: We also switched soaps to Shea Moisture Olive and Marula Baby Wash and Shampoo.

We'll look into the hydrocortisone cream in combination and also the coconut oil! Her doctor did say that it's probably just from how much colder it's gotten here lately and us using the heat, I just hate seeing it because it looks so itchy and uncomfortable.

Agree with @MusicaV on the CeraVe! Granted I'm an adult with eczema but CeraVe or Cetaphil cream is good (and gentle).

My daughters had mild cases of eczema this month for the first time ever, and coconut oil alone got rid of them! I slathered it on as many times during the day as I could remember .. Anywhere from 2-4x/day... After a week, the eczema was pretty much gone! We were lucky they were mild cases and the girls didn't scratch them too much. Good luck!

On one daughter coconut oil really does the trick, but our older daughter we started with Aveeno (didn't work), tried Aquafor and Eucerin which work but are so greasy, and then settled in to Weleda calendula cream. It seems to allow us to go a long time in between flares and isn't too greasy.

Eucerin Original Healing. It's the only thing that worked for our LO. Hydrocortisone really shouldn't be used much on babies. I use Eucerin on my own ezcema too.
