PP hair loss is out of control! My hair is all over the freaking place. What do you use to pick up hair from hardwood floors? Swiffer? Vacuum?

Vacuum and use the hose attachment for corners and edges!

My hair clogged up our vacuum last time! I would try to sweep before vacuuming!

My DH vacuums once a week but I actually use our handheld on the bathroom before I clean it. It is always covered in hair since that's where I blow-dry!

@autumnlove: haha yes, probably! But really, who has the time? I feel like you have to mop every day for it to be really clean.

Omg I was going to post a question for vac recs today! I vacuum but this pp hair loss is seriously out of control and our cordless vac and room a both don't work well anymore and I'm sick of cutting hair out if them. I use a small vacuum cleaner with a cord and we have all hardwood. But I really need to vacuum my head I think! Lol! More efficient!

We have a cordless stick vacuum (that converts to a handheld) and we use that daily on our hardwood floors (only the bedrooms have carpet). I have long hair and we have two dogs and a cat, so hair cleanup is daily for us. I haven't had any issues with hair tangling in the rollers.

I love our swiffer vac for that. It doesn't have any brushes for the hair to get caught it, so it picks it up without a problem.

I use a piece of lint remover paper. It's sticky and easily picks up hair. I don't like to vacuum hair because it gets caught in the bristles or in the filter/tank.

I first use a damp paper towel to gather them up and then I run the swiffer over the floor to get the rest.

@MrsCB: Interesting, I've never heard of that. Is this it?

How long does it last? I see that there is a Subscribe and Save option on Amazon ...

@Andrea: Yup, that's it. I honestly am not sure how long it lasts. We don't always keep it plugged in since it gets in the way of something else. But it charges pretty fast. I'd recommend keeping it plugged in when not in use if you can, and then it'll probably last without a problem. We typically clean about 500-1000 square feet at a time with it.

@MrsCB: oh sorry, I wasn't clear! Do you need to replace it often? Or just get new cleaning pads for it or something?

@Andrea: Ohh, haha. Thought you were talking about battery life. The unit itself I've had for 3 years, maybe more and it still works fine. It uses the regular swiffer cloths, which we replace every time we use it unless I'm just vacuuming up something small. It also has an internal filter thing that I've replaced once or twice. We usually just scrape off the dust when we empty the canister and it's fine.
