I have a pimple on my chin right now, and I am a horrible skin picker.
What do you use to spot treat pimples? I haven't bought anything in a long time. You'd think at 36 pimples would stop!

I haven't used anything in a while, but when I did it was Benzoyl Peroxide. Its not magic, but it works okay. I also used to take the handle of a butter knife and run it under hot water for a minute and hold it on the pimple. It worked like those tools they sell for big $$ to heat and kill the bacteria under the surface. It actually did work quite well for the deep underground ones.

I actually just dab hand sanitizer on mine & they usually dry up & go away within a day or so.

I use this at night (can't go out in public with it) and it works great at quickly drying them up without drying me out. http://www.sephora.com/eradikate-acne-treatment-P232903?skuId=1167147
During this day this stuff is my go-to:

Varying up the active ingredients for day/night keeps from overly irritating my oily but sensitive skin and seems to clear up blemishes the fastest of any other regime I've tried.
I'm 36 as well and dealing with hormonal cystic acne way worse than when I was actually young! Good times.

I'm also a skin picker so I've found Nexcare Acne Absorbing Covers work for me while I'm at home. At the very least it stops me from picking.

The one that Bliss spa makes. It seems to work pretty well for me.

@ladybee: I would get an occasional cystic zit when I was on BC or Clomid. I usually went to the dermatologist to have them injected so they'd go away sooner without scarring.

@LindsayInNY: did that hurt?? I'm guessing insurance doesn't cover it

@ladybee: Not at all! Small pinch? It's cortisone I think? And was always billed through insurnace since it's not typically considered cosmetic.
