I used to put a lot of thought and effort into gifts for my parents, but I just don't have the energy/time post kids sadly. I usually do something easy like flowers or send them framed pictures of the kids. My dad gardens so sometimes I buy him gardening stuff.
I'd like to do something nice this year for Mother's Day and Father's Day since I've been slacking the past couple of years.
What do you usually give for birthdays/mother's/father's day?

My dad: something golf related
My mom: cash/gift cards/flowers
MIL: as seen on tv stuff/gift cards/flowers (last yr we bought her a tablet)
FIL: lotto tix/chocolate

Nothing! I usually take them out to dinner or a spa day or something. I usually only buy gifts at Christmas.
We don't do anything for DH's parents. I think it is his responsibility therefor it never gets done.

Mom: Stuff (new purse, jewelry, house decor) - I know her style really well
MIL: Usually gardening related - a pot w/ plants in it (that DH and I chose), some fun garden stakes
Dad: So hard... a 'toy' (Nerf gun, etc) - he's a kid at heart and loves playing with my nephew. Last year I got him a beer of the month club for 3 months (those are $$$!)
FIL: HARDEST. Grilling accessories (wood planks, baskets, skewers, etc), fancy bottle of whiskey, tools (if all the siblings pitch in)

Cash. No matter how thoughtful the gift, my mom always finds a flaw. Same with my MIL.

I've always just done a card and flowers. Sometimes we take them out to brunch or cook dinner for them.

It really depends. Last Year I completely forgot my mom's birthday so we gave her a big mothers day combo gift. A pair rose gold Diamond studs. Haha the diamonds were a cluster of tiny diamonds though. 
MIL usually a small gift and then we invite them over and make dinner.

When possible I like to plan something for us to do together. Like pedicures with my mom, or a museum and lunch with my dad, or buying tickets for us all to go to a sporting event together. My parents really don't need stuff, they just like spending time with us. (But I know that's way harder when you don't live close to your parents!"

@Mae: I haven't been home for Mothers Day in almost 10 years. 
I'm hoping next year for my Mother's gift I'm going to ask that we spend it in NYC with my mom. MIL has gotten us for the last decade; she can't say anything if we miss one here and there!
I'm thinking it would be be really fun to take her to "high tea"! She's never experienced anything like that!

Depends on every year. We always ask for bday lists. Mothers and Father's Day, we usually combine and get them something for around the house that they need. Last year they each got a picture of R (from us) and then all my siblings and us went in together and got them baseball tickets.

Mom - flowers. she loves roses so that's what we do. boring I know, but she likes that we remember.
Dad - so hard!! normally running stuff or new work shoes bc he wears the crap out of his dress shoes
MIL - floral arrangement or some clothes when we see something she'd like
FIL - nada bc he doesn't appreciate anything and never uses/wears what we buy him.

I try to gift experiences, like concert tickets, plays, musicals, etc. or just take them out to dinner/make dinner and have them over.

Cards. We get yelled at if we spend actual money on them. So they get cards.

Usually just take them out to brunch, and a photobook of some sort. This might be a good time to play with Printstagram? You have so many great IG photos - i'm sure they'd love to have them in print!
