What do you want for your birthday?

My 30th birthday is soon, too. We don't do big presents - my husband always gets me a card and usually something small like lottery tickets, which we like for a fun giggle. This year we are taking a road trip to see our families and our friends from back home are throwing us a get together to meet the baby. So it doubles as a birthday party!

Heels! I have had two pairs break this month boooo. Something fun but versatile and comfortable.

Also a food processor, a bike and new makeup from the Origins line.

A DLSR! But my birthday isn't until September, and we're getting married 2 weeks before it. I imagine neither of us will be wanting to spend any money at that point.

Woo hoo! It's my birthday in a week so I'll play along. I just want socks. I always ask for socks and I never get them. I don't know why. Or a fourth cat...

    @Mrs. Jacks, @char54: Happy birthday!

My birthday isn't for a few more months but I want a Dutch bike. We happen to be going to the Netherlands in October so I'm hoping I can pick one out then and have it shipped back home!

@char54: happy birthday, and that is an awesome gift!

My birthday isn't until November, and usually I just want flowers and champagne, but I'll be pregnant on this birthday. I was online wallet shopping last night for a medium-fancy wallet and I found a few that I liked and DH said I should wait for my birthday, which is fine with me. I never have birthday gift ideas for me until after the fact.

@NorCalWayfarer: that's an awesome idea. I just got a Dutch bike myself. If you don't happen to find any in Holland, Specialized makes really pretty ones (that's where I got mine), and Linus seems to have some cool options as well.

I want a new DSLR. If not, a pedicure and a few hours of uninterrupted sleep would hit the spot!

My birthday's in three weeks and the only things I can think of are a DSLR or a new diaper bag. Oh, or money that I can put toward my gym membership, as after August my income will go down a lot (mat leave top up runs out).

My birthday is 10 days after my due date... So I'd like a baby for mine!

    But in all seriousness...
    - remote trigger for my DSLR
    - some nice clothes for my post-partum body
    - to spend the day with my DH / family and not have to worry about where any meals come from for 24 hours, sounds like bliss to me!

I turned 30 last year and DH took me on holiday for a week and we just chilled out and enjoyed some alone-time, but that was pre-baby so this year I'm keeping my desires a bit simpler!

@Arden: Ooh I like your list! Especially the Mac, Clarisonic, ballet flats, and gift cards!

My 25th birthday was a few months ago, and I talked DH into finally letting me get rear speakers and a center channel for our surround sound system! Thought typically that's more of a guy's gift, we're backwards - I'm the techie, and since I sell high end home theater equipment I have fairly expensive taste. But for non-tech related gifts...there's always a million things I want from Sephora. Cute clothes and/or accessories are good too.
