Iโm hosting about 14 people at our house tomorrow. Weโre serving brunch, opening gifts and playing with our two littles. I plan to wear black yoga pants, a cute mini mouse Christmas T-shirt and a chunky gray cardigan. However, Iโm thinking other people may come more dressy (I know my mom will). Maybe I need to step it up? What do you plan to wear?

We dress for comfort (and eating) in my family, maybe a nicer sweater or festive shirt and clean pants. This year I'm 39 weeks pregnant, so if I even manage to roll the car hair off my yoga pants, that will be dressing up.

Christmas at home, any familys home is meant to be comfy imo! I'm usually in PJs! Leggings and a sweater would be stepping it up for me.

When we're hosting or at someone's house around other people I wear dark jeans and a tank+cardigan or cute but not dressy holiday shirt/sweater whatever.
I'd wear what you said you're wearing no problem

When we do Christmas "guest free," the family wears the matching holiday PJs I buy and force on them.
In all honesty though, I believe you should dress how you feel most comfortable AND in a way that defines YOU. Besides, you ARE the hostess and, traditionally, the hostess is who dictates the manner of dress for the event

@CatchAFallingStar: That sounds so cute! We host tonight (Christmas Eve) and I am wearing black leggings, boots, and a long sleeved T-shirt with one of those blanket shawl things? Dark green. Donโt know how to describe it exactly but theyโre everywhere this season!

Usually skinny jeans, boots, sweater, and a scarf (or something to that effect.

I am a nerd and ask for clothes for Christmas and usually wear something new I got.

@LBee: He's doing so so well. He's talking in sentences, using different pronouns (this, those, that.) The list goes on and on. He just needed to do it in his own time and still need to work on articulation. I can actually talk to my son now, it's amazing.

I have Christmas pajamas I wear at home (Disney plaid ones, I love them!). Then a maroon sweater dress and leggings for family events (wearing it to my 3rd family holiday occasion today). It's super comfy but I've gotten a surprising number of compliments on it.

I wear stuff that's machine washable...I hate smelling like food as I inevitably do wrt to holiday feasts and I can't be bothered to dry clean outside of work clothes.
I was decked out in skinny jeans, a print blouse and a long cardigan last night...clothes I had also worn to the office earlier in the day.
Today though, I have on sport leggings and a tunic turtleneck top. On my off days, I like to dress down, lol and I take it to new levels. At least I blew my hair out though!
