I never did get good at this. I symptom spotted and obsessed : ) I tried to make lots of plans but then there was the stress over whether you should drink or not if you were going out and it only kept you distracted for a couple hours any way!!

Whatever I can do to keep busy! Trying to not symptom spot this time. We will see how I do only 2DPO.

My last few cycles, my TWW has coincided with my busiest weeks at work, but my cycles are ~40 days, so now my TWW is falling during my least busy weeks and all I do is Google symptoms and its not good.

@Smurfette: Totally. I've googled my way into so many worst-case scenarios, its not even funny.

I do what pp have suggested. The last TWW I had that ended in pregnancy was right before thanksgiving so I didn't even realize I was in the TWW.

I shopped online.

So, this is cycle 6 and I'd say that for the first 4 cycles, I was not good at distracting myself at all. I'd symptom spot like crazy and I would go insane. Now that time has gone by, I've debunked almost all of my so-called pregnancy symptoms. I've decided that my body is a big fat liar and not to be trusted. I know this doesn't work for those of you that like to keep positive, but I tell myself that I'm not pregnant. That way, I don't start to go crazy until 11 or 12 dpo, and then the cycle is almost over.

@Grace: lol @ *big fat liar* . . . that's totally how I felt. that's why I shopped. I figured I would only ever get pg after I had decided it wouldn't happen without medical intervention. it worked like a charm (on cycle 5 - last cycle before going to fertility specialist)

@Grace: That's exactly my tactic. It did make AF a little easier this time around.
