I wanted a boy for my first, and sure enough LO turned out to be a boy. I didn't mind having a girl or boy for my second, and now we're expecting another boy.

Wanted boys and I have two girls! I kinda want another girl but DH has a preference for a boy.

I was leaning Team Blue. DH was leaning Team Pink. We have a beautiful baby girl! . . . I can't believe I was ever afraid of having a daughter! She is my heart!

We were hoping for a girl. She would have been the first girl born into the McK family in 75 years. We're nuts about our boy but DH says that if we could guarantee a second LO would be a girl he'd be right on me. I mean it

Hoping for a girl and don't know yet!
I have a feeling it's a girl though.

With #1, I wanted a girl and got a girl! For this #2, out of convenience (reusing girl clothes, etc.), another girl would be nice but I like the idea of having one of each (we're team green for this one). DH hopes it's another girl. LOL!

With the first, I knew from the second I was pregnant that he was a boy (and I was right) and so I didn't spend a lot of time thinking about it.
With this baby, we REALLY wanted a girl, but I was nervous about being, not disappointed, but a little let down, so I again tried not to think about it too much. But happily, we found out last week that it is a girl!

I wanted a girl BAD...then I realized that there was a pretty good chance I could end up having a boy...so I threw myself into wanting a boy...BAD! We went to our ultrasound and found out we were having a girl! I was so shocked because I had basically convinced myself it was going to be a boy! DH and I couldn't be happier!

We're hoping for a boy. Not sure if we will find out ahead of time or not.

So tough. I want a boy because I think DH will not bug me for a second child. I want a girl because I think raising a black boy brings a lot of heart ache.

@MsLipGloss: aww this made me so happy! i had a slight preference for a boy for #1, but we're having a girl, and every since i've found out, i'm falling hopelessly in love with her

I wanted a daughter really badly. So so so blessed to have gotten her

We wanted a girl first, got her. We want a boy this time since we are done after this but I'm 98% sure this one is going to be a girl too

I have NOOOO idea. We honestly do not care what we have ... if we are in a deep conversation about it, we usually come to the conclusion that we'd like to have a boy, because everyone should have a big brother (if we have more babies). I have no intuition either.

I don't really care. I have an easier time picturing myself with a boy, but I think a girl would be a ton of fun too.

I wanted a girl and got one. This time I don't care either way. I'm very girly and love the dress up, tutus, and dolls, but it would also be fun to have a little boy.

Since I'm pregnant w/twins, I'm hoping for one of each...honestly though, I'll be happy with either

With my 1st, wanted a boy and got him. This time around I really want a girl! We will find out in 3 weeks.

After my m/c, I had absolutely no preference at all, I just wanted a healthy one. One day, I actually sat down and tried to think about what I wanted, and it was pretty much equal. When we found out he was a boy, I was so happy!!

We wanted one of each, and that's what we have.
With #1 I wanted a girl, got a boy. #2 wanted a girl, and we got a girl

Deep down I really want a girl, but I have this feeling it's going to be a boy so I'm trying to psych myself up for having a boy! Lol I'm only 6wks so it will be awhile before I will know for sure!

I wanted a boy first and we got him! I'm hoping for a girl this time so we can have one of each but another boy would be great for not having to buy anything except diapers ect. I'm 13 weeks so we'll (hopefully) find out at my 20 week anatomy scan.

I wanted a girl..and got one! I still can't believe it - I thought for sure we'd have all boys based on DH's family!

We wanted a healthy baby and got her! For #2 we are leaning of course to a boy and we are team green so we will have to wait and see! Another little girl would be a wonderful blessing

I went in wanting a girl. After a scare requiring CVS, all preferences went out the window, we just wanted a healthy baby. Turns out she was a girl! For #2, it didn't matter to us, we just wanted the right situation regarding birthparent mental health and substance use. Turns out it was another girl.
There is something sooo special about sisters!
@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: We did not want to not let the external challenges of raising a black man dissuade us, so we focused on being really open to boys and girls.

My husband reeeeeally wanted a daughter. I didn't have a strong preference but I had sort of pictured a girl more than a boy. Turns out we are having a boy. My husband had a strong enough preference that I wanted us to find out in advance so he could have some time to adjust. I'm glad we did, because I would not have wanted to have that twinge of disappointment to accompany the actual delivery. We have known for less than two weeks, and my husband has started thinking about the perks of having a son

Wanted boy and had a boy! We were team green and I convinced myself he was a girl so I wouldn't be disappointed. But my gut feeling had been boy and I was right!!! Couldn't be happier with my son.

Logically, I want a boy first. But, deep down I really want a daughter. We were told at our NT scan there was a good chance it's a girl, so we'll see. Trying not to get too attached to the idea of a girl until we know for sure. Everyone thinks it's a girl. I don't really have any clue, but if I had to lean one way, I'd say girl.

I wanted a girl, DH wanted a boy. We had a boy and I couldn't be happier. If we are lucky enough to have a #2, I'd like a girl

I wanted a girl and got her, next round I don't care. I know DH really wants a boy but I would be happy with another girl!
