I cannot get into women wearing rompers/jumpsuits/shortalls. They are cute on little ones, but I think they look kind of strange on adults.
What trend are you not into (on yourself or others)?

Hi-Lo stuff...shirts, skirts, dresses. It's weird to me and I just don't get it!

It's so hypocritical of me, as I own a few high low maxis, but I hate the trend. It's just that it's soo hard to find nice regular maxis anymore. I can't wait for it to be over!
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
So not a fan of rompers -- aka adult onesies. And call me an old prude but anything involving bare midriffs. It just seems uncomfortable (excluding beach wear at the actual beach).
pomegranate / 3604 posts
I don't like hi-lo stuff & neon. And those short-short-short shorts that if they bend over you can see the curve of their bum. Just nooooo.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
The bras under mesh shirts! Or neon bras and white shirts. It's like the 80's are back and just as tacky and skanky! Ugh a the bra showing. I'm not into it. Oh, or ombré hair.and the aforementioned rompers and mullet clothing
Basically everything at target. Frayed cutoff shorts with bleached designs, ugh

Mullet clothing
@blackbird: I agree. Everything is just bad at Target right now.

I'm seeing a lot of 90s fashions in all the stores I like to shop at and it is just so not my style. I cannot wait for that trend to be over!
cantaloupe / 6610 posts
Haha! I have a couple of onesies/rompers from Gap body and LOOOOOVE them!!! So comfy and easy:). Almost like PJs! They are kind of...skimpy/small though & I did not feel comfortable wearing them after I had gained a few lbs right before I got pg. But now that I'm at my "skinny weight" I really enjoy wearing them. But H has some too, so I can totally see the viewpoint that they're for LOs!

Hi-lo anything. I'm so ready for it to be over so there's normal stuff to buy again.
clementine / 797 posts
Neon, high-low hems, lacy tube tops under shirts with arm holes that go down to the waist, cut off shorts so short the pockets hang out, and thin, supersheer leggings as pants. I have no problem with opaque leggings and yoga pants but I have seen far too many bare behinds and thongs showing through too sheer leggings than I care to admit. Do society a favor a bend over in front of a mirror and peer between your legs. If you see thong or butt, put on other pants.

Skinny jeans! And leggings and pretty much everything on pointeshoestutus' list.

@PrincessBaby: girl if I had your body. I'd wear anything I damn pleased!! You are hawt. I have never looked half that good before baby.
I don't like cropped shirts, sneaker wedges, agree with hi/low
blogger / cherry / 179 posts
High wasted shorts w/crop tops....I just don't understand why girls want their butt to look like it starts at their shoulder blades and goes to the back of their thighs!?!? ...or what is so attractive about that little sliver of lower rib cage showing...no thanks, not for me!
coconut / 8430 posts
I'm not a fan of the high-low trend. I also don't love the bare midriff look that I've seen lately.
pomelo / 5093 posts
Yes, death to this high low trend. I do love me some neon, though. But the visible bras under a shirt is just not for adults.
coconut / 8234 posts
I don't like adult onesies, rompers, or jumpers either. I'm not into the leggings as pants thing (I feel like it only looks good with a tunic). I also don't like super short shorts with booty hanging out.
honeydew / 7488 posts
Yes, can't wait till the neon fades back into the 80s again! It literally makes my head spin..
nectarine / 2600 posts
High-waisted short shorts, where your hoo-haa is practically hanging out. How is that even comfortable?!
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
Gah. Leggings as pants is still alive at my hair salon. I hate this trend, too!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@blackbird: Some lady at my office thinks that is business casual wear. It is worse cause her shirt is long enough to cover her butt which it be to wearer leggings. Especially for her body type.
pomelo / 5321 posts
Completely agree with the high/low hemlines. Hate them! I don't like skinny jeans either. They don't work for my body type and it's impossible to find any other type of jeans. Ugh. I'm so over it.
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
shirts that are made of translucent fabrics without a camisole underneath--I do not want to see your bra, thank you very much. same with white shirts with colored bras, shirts with such loose armholes that you see an entire bra, etc.
pomegranate / 3331 posts
@Grace: yup, skinny jeans...when will this trend end? it feels like they've been "in" for way too long!
GOLD / papaya / 10206 posts
I can't get on board with the high heel/wedge sneaker thing. It's just not working for me.
cantaloupe / 6610 posts
@Mrs. Pen: Awww!!! You made my day!!! Thank you so much!!! And um, excuse me, but you are a total hot mama!!
cantaloupe / 6610 posts
After shopping for new shorts a few days ago, I'm adding the high waisted shorts to my Xnay List.
They look like Mom Shorts. I know that they're supposed to be trendy and edgy, but they are total Mom Shorts for people who are not Moms. And if you ARE a mom, then you definitely can not wear this trend, bc you wont look trendy. You'll look like you lost your trendiness and bought a big ol nerdy pair of Mom shorts!!!
Anthropologie, UO, and a lot of the boutiques had these.... Terrible! Give me a good ol pair of JCrew 3 inch in normal shorts!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@Smurfette: one of the ladies training me on told me leggings are acceptable at our business casual office. She's the only one I've seen do it though and she is at least 45 and none of her tops cover her butt. It's so weird.
I've done it 1-2x at my office. I wore a dressy long blouse with thick leggings and cognac boots but I felt I looked a lot more professional than most of my colleagues.
@PrincessBaby: haha. Well thanks
@CharityAnne: this. Exactly what I was trying to say. It's def an awful 80s/90s look!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Mrs. Pen: I see nothing wrong with them, if you wear them like you do. The way this lady does, no way. Especially with a cropped sparkly top with a tank top under it. That is what she has on today.
pineapple / 12802 posts
I don't really like the hi-low thing.
Although, the worst I've seen lately is at Aritzia. Front half of a simple, plain dress is navy, back half of the dress is cream.... uhm... EW. And there was a whole series of these half and half clothes!
GOLD / papaya / 10166 posts
Um... anything 80's.... I didn't like it then and I still don't like it now. haha
pear / 1895 posts
I think it might just be a regional thing, but I hate hate hate the t-shirts and tanks with the contrasting pattern pocket. Even worse if it's monogrammed!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@Smurfette: hahah. Oh dear! Yeah this lady at my office is way too casual. Leggings, casual gladiator sandals, and just a white tee that doesn't cover her butt. I wouldn't even wear that at home!
This is what I aspire to if I wear leggings to the office:
clementine / 896 posts
Leggings as pants, floral pants, those pants that stop right above the ankle, mesh tops with just a bra thing underneath, peplum, high waisted pants/shorts, jumpers, super short shorts. I hate a lot of things. Lol.
pear / 1895 posts
Haha, there are a lot of leggings-as-pants haters here! This was ALL I wore the last 4 months I was pregnant. I did try to make sure my butt was covered, but at 41 weeks large, I didn't really care too much.
