if we have a second child i lean towards wanting another boy since i'm "used" to it.

I think I'd like a boy, but another girl would be fun, too!

Haha dh wanted #2 to be a girl too.
We both looooooooove having once of each though.

Happy either way but I definitely want another girl, I have 4 sisters and can't imagine R not having that. I think she'll manage without if it doesn't pan out that way

We already have a girl and DH wants the next one to be a girl too! I honestly don't have a preference.

@chopsuey: It made me chuckle cause I know he really just likes being the favorite.

Can't decide. It'd be easier to have another boy but interesting to have a girl too. So-- don't care!

@Running Elley: is it weird that if I have a girl I kind of want her to be our one and only girl? So I can treat her all princessy? But then again, it is amazing to have a sister (as I know), so I want that for her too.

I'm torn. We'll have one girl, so another girl would be nice because I like the idea that they could be like BFFs when they grew up. But a boy would be fun too because it would be "one of each." I think if/when I get pregnant again we'll be thrilled either way and it will be meant to be whoever s/he turns out to be.

I would love another girl! I always wanted a sister when I was little
plus..like @smurfette: said, we would save a lot of money!!

DH wants a boy. I like to tell myself that I would like one of each, but if I'm honest with myself, I think I would prefer another girl.
honeydew / 7504 posts
I"m pretty sure we're one and done, but IF we had another...I'm honestly not sure! I'd looooove to have a girl, but now that I'm "used to" boy stuff, and it would be so much cheaper to not have to buy a whole new girl wardrobe, I'm kind of torn!

It doesn't really matter, but I girl would be great, so I can have one of each. 2 boys would be a lot of fun too. I don't mind either way.

@MamaBehr: Ditto ... I have girl boy boy and would love for the next one to even things out and be a girl - plus I think it would be nice for DD to have a sister. But we're not sure either if a fourth is even likely, I'd love to have more ... we'll see I guess.

I would like the next one to be a girl for 2 reasons. First of all, I just want a girl more than a boy, there isn't any part of me that wishes DD was a boy. And secondly, if #2 is a girl, we will likely try for a boy. I have pretty much decided I want 3, but DH says we will be done after #2 if it's a boy.

As much as I would love having a girl, part of me melts when I think about DS playing with a little brother and teaching him all the "boy" stuff!! So I think I am at peace with either!
nectarine / 2973 posts
If I had to pick I would pick another girl. But I'd be totally happy either way. I love being a girl mom but would like to experience having a boy also.
pomegranate / 3113 posts
I'd like one of each if we decide to have a second child, so it would be great to have #2 be a boy. If we end up with two girls, we'd still be perfectly happy though!

I want our next to be a girl but I wouldn't be upset at all if we had another boy I love having a son so having two would be cool
grapefruit / 4085 posts
If we decide to go for #2, I'm not sure. I'd love a girl so they would be sisters, but a boy would be nice too, then we'd have one of each.
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
we're struggling with IF again so I'd happily take any healthy baby. sometimes I think I want one of each (we have a girl now). sometimes I think I want two girls because we're used to it and have so many gorgeous girl clothes my mom made by hand. I'm pretty sure we're not having #3 so I'm glad I have good feelings about either gender.
blogger / nectarine / 2600 posts
I have one of each and still want one more. I lean slightly toward wanting another boy though if girls are easier like my DD is and was compared to my son I might just say a girl for that sake.
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
I'd like a little boy so T would have a brother to play with and I'd get to recycle all of his adorable baby clothes he's already grown out of ( ) but I'm still holding out for a girl!
We're not sure if we're going to have a third, so a boy and a girl would be nice. But a another boy would be awesome too. Heck, I don't know.

Without reading all the comments in going to guess that the answers err heavily toward girl.
I go back and forth. I'd for dd to have a sister, but I'd live for dh to have a son.
Before lo1 (like before I was pregnant, when I got pregnant I didn't care anymore) I wanted all boys.
pomegranate / 3577 posts
I would love to have a healthy baby. Cop out answer, I know, but we'll be Team Green this next time at the rodeo and I'd be equally ecstatic with another boy or a girl.
apricot / 338 posts
@googly-eyes: Yes I too wanted all boys but we were going for just 1 kid initially for DH mini me. If we go for #2 would love another boy so Lo can be best friends but would be equally excited whether boy or girl.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I really don't have a preference! But we both think it's a girl. A girl would be nice this time b/c this baby is due right when my niece was born = automatic wardrobe for life.
I would like 2 boys and a girl, I think. But we may be stopping at 2.
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
I really wanted a girl so now that I have LO I am ok with either a boy or girl for baby #2. I think if I could magically make the decision I would choose a boy but I don't have a strong preference for it. I would LOVE a sister for LO but know DH would love to have one of each. We are 99.9% done after baby #2. I don't ever want to be pregnant ever again after I pop this baby out

I THINK I want a boy next, but honestly I wouldn't mind being a girl mom. Now that I have a girl I'm genuinely fine with either.
pomegranate / 3759 posts
Ill be honest and say that I would be disappointed if we were to try and it wasnt a boy!
pear / 1599 posts
I am torn. I want another girl so DD will have a sister close in age to be besties with. But I also want a boy next so that we have one of each just in case we dont go for a third child. DH wants twin boys...lol. not happening!
nectarine / 2771 posts
We'd prefer a boy, but would certainly still be happy if DD got a baby sister. We plan on being foster parents/adopting at least one more child, so I don't worry about having one of each as I know we'll have the opportunity to parent both genders.
pomegranate / 3768 posts
@Smurfette: same as you! DH really wants another girl next but I don't have a preference.
