As we speak, my husband is brewing a 5 gallon batch of beer. Although I have 3.5 weeks left in the pregnancy, I can't wait to taste it.

Play video games and hike. He used to be into brewing beer, but hasn't done that for a while. Going to have to get him back into it again!

Watching football and managing his fantasy team... does that count?? I am a "football widow" a few days a week!

OMG, my SO is a hobbyolic. He gets fixated on things for like a month and can't do anything else until he finds a new hobby. It drives me CRAZY! The hubs just loves to do everything...He's interested in so many things. I guess it's a good thing.

Pre-baby, he liked to read, write, play xbox, snowboard, and play the bass guitar. After RJ was born all that stuff that consumed time and money kind of stopped... but now he spends his time on hobbies that help out, like grilling. he's also totally obsessed with photography... that costs money, but I think the photos he gets more than pay for the gear he purchases. And his little side hobby is fantasy football. He's also always, always been into music. Very obscure, weird stuff.

Music is his largest hobby. He actually is a published musician on Itunes and Amazon! He is also video game and concert fanatic. Its why we make such a great pair!!

@tina what's obscure weird? Like Frank Zappa weird or like Wesley Willis weird?
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@Nskillet: I don't even know the name of most of the bands... but one of his favorites since high school has been Bjork. He seriously loves her music. He loves some music that I also don't mind or like (his favorite band is Muse and he's a huge Radiohead fan) but most of his time is spent finding and listening to totally obscure artists. I actually got him a threadless t-shirt that says "I listen to bands that don't even exist yet."
I just asked him to rattle off a list of stuff he's currently listening to and he says: Apparet, Sigur Ros, Brian Eno, Shabazz Palaces, How to Destroy Angels.
He didn't know who Wesley Willis was... that's a first... he ALWAYS knows who random artists are!

Wesley Willis is very obscure and very weird. He was a schizophrenic who created hilarious music. DH is a HUGE Brian Eno fan and also Trent Reznor/NIN so how to destroy angels has been listened to in our home! I higly recommend Lindstrom and Dan Deacon for other delightfully weird musicians

DH has SO many hobbies. Radios, computers, electronics, learning new computer programs, any kind of art -- painting, drawing, etc. Also video games and catching up on back episodes of the Daily Show, if those count as hobbies...

He likes to garden, watch birds, follows a few TV series, and play video games (although nowerdays has no time for it).

@Nskillet: omg I'm sure he will love it-- I will totally let him know about him, Lindstrom and Dan Deacon (yup Rob Sr. is a NIN fan too) and I'm sure he will be listening to them soon

@mrbee: No worries. I shall translate "He like to think of himself as". It's that tricky ameringlish. Two countries divided by a common language.
