I would love a watch with a leather band. Watches have become my easiest go-to accessory. I've also been playing with makeup a lot more lately, and I would love to add a couple more fun lipsticks to my stash.
Do you have anything on your wishlist?

@Mrs. Bee: Is it wrong that I got a BFP 3 days ago and I am already planning our "joint" push presents? (Sorry ugh hate that phrase!!!!) Haha. We want to combine bday/anniversary/baby's arrival with two matching Cartier trinity bands and engrave each band with our initials (mine on rose, baby's on white, DW's on gold). We will see if this happens ... haha.

We're on the hunt for a new 8 x 10 area rug for our living room. It's hard to find attractive, modern, but affordable ones!! We ordered one from West Elm, and gave away our 7 x 9 before we unrolled the new one. Big mistake, the West Elm one was so rough/itchy, we returned it right away and are now rugless. Argh

@mrs. wagon: I've been looking at Rugs USA! But every time I click on the larger sized 8 x 10 rugs, they are all pretty expensive ($700+)... which confuses me because I hear people say they got cute rugs from there for under $300 - 400! Not sure if I'm searching wrong
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@Meridian: yuck have you tried joss and main? I need to shop for rugs soon too!

blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts

Home: New couch, hardwood/laminate in the living room, hallway, and kitchen, new windows
Personal: Cute roasting pan (I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year), some new weekend clothes. Everything I have is for work and I end up wearing the same pair of yoga pants and sweatshirt.

@Meridian: if you can wait, they seem to always have big sales around holidays. I'm talking all holidays, too, we got ours during a Columbus day sale, I think. Maybe with St. Patrick's day or Memorial Day coming up you could find a decent sale.

@jessibear: @Ash: Ooh... I always see "50% off" or "70% off", but I always thought the discount was already reflected in the marked price. So if it says it's on sale, and the 8 x 10 is listed at $700, then the discount is on top of that?? Maybe I just need to learn how to read, haha!
@mrs. wagon: thanks for the J & M invite, just joined! Lots of pretty stuff... Does anyone know the quality of Joss & Main rugs? I don't want to order another itchy rug

I'm sort of in a place right now where I don't enjoy buying stuff for myself because I feel badly about the money. But assuming money was no object..
1) new glasses. Mine are fine but I'm bored of them
2) actually screw glasses... I want lasick. Glasses suck.
3) A nice super soft slouchy brown leather purse (I have no idea why since I mostly only carry a diaper bag...)
4) and if money is really no object, maybe some diamond studs? Why not.

Mine are terribly practical. I'd like a new microwave (ours is broken and it wasn't in the budget this month), a new chain for the necklace I wear every day (I stupidly broke it trying to cut off some hair that got caught on it), a new wallet (mine is worn out and not really my style anymore), and Warby Parkers.

I've actually been thinking about this a lot since my birthday is coming up. There are lots of things that I'd be happy to get but very little I want enough to ask for. I'm way too picky I guess. So I think the main thing I want is Disney giftcards to save up dor our trip next year so I can splurge once we're there!
