Puffy jackets get the most wear since winter lasts at least 6 months here, and I want to get something that both Charlie and Olive can wear. Black? Brown? Olive? Silver/Gray? A bright color like turquoise, green or yellow?
What would you get?

Black would always work, but I like navy for both-- but I'm picturing a little navy peacoat, not puffy. Red is pretty neutral too. Or for bright, orange would work for either. Does Olive wear a lot of pink? You don't want to pick a color that clashes with a lot of her outfits later on.

Gray!
But I LURVE light gray everything so I'm biased...I love how it goes with browns or blacks or any color.

I would say gray too! It goes with pretty much any color & is super neutral!

@Foodnerd81: navy peacoats are cute and gender neutral (for some reason navy puffy coats don't look gender neutral to me), but their peacoats get almost no wear. the puffy jackets are warmer and more comfortable, and easier to wash!

We got an orange patagonia coat. It's super cute! (I just looked at their website and it seems like they don't have that color anymore, bummer. But they do have a cool green!)

Grey might get really dingy looking. Lala has a green Patagucci (Patagonia) coat that seems very gender neutral to me, but we've seen it mostly on boys.

Gray or navy! Both are super classic, 100% gender neutral, and look great with a lot of other colors.

I say gray, navy, or olive green. I do like the idea of a fun color too though!

Olive/army green. For a girl, I love seeing that paired with a more girly color.

I would probably do navy for a gender neutral coat.

My vote is for navy too. This one is on our wishlist for our little girl b/c with some pink accessories it will work and if we have a boy then it will easily work. We live in the frigid midwest and I think it will keep her warm!

**also, this inventory shuffles a bit for this coat. sometimes they carry a totally navy one (which is the one I want)...and just a few days ago it was 50% off...So I'm gonna keep checking back.

Red. DD wore a red baby gap jacket last year from the boy's section. It looked really cute.
