A parent/caregiver has to walk their LO in and sign in/out on an iPad at our center. I wish there was an entry code to get in the building!
Some of my friends have drive up drop off/pick up and that sounds so convenient!

We have to buzz in to be let into the school, and then it's just a visual/audible bye bye to the teachers.

We have to be buzzed in to the building. We have to walk the child to there class. We sign in or out at the front desk on a touch screen. The teachers sign in and out on the iPad in the classroom.

There is a keypad on the front door and always someone sitting at the front desk. You check in/out at a computer with a fingerprint scanner.

Keypad at the front door, then a sign in sheet if your kid is a certain age or higher. Teachers will sign you in and out as a courtesy if you have to carry your child because they are too young to walk.

We have a keypad to get into the building, then when you walk in there is a finger print scanner that grants you access to a touch screen monitor where you check in and check out. There's always a director at the front desk also (watching people walk in from a camera). Then you take them to the classroom.
Part of the reason I chose this daycare!

Open building with parent specific key
Sign kid in on a paper list
Accompany kid to class (be it his/her class or the class they are all in before they move to the individual classrooms)
Sign out is pretty much the same just in reverse order (well you still have to come into the building first )

Fob to get in, sign in/out sheet in their room. They have cameras so they know who is coming in.
Teacher will usually sign in while we unbundle the kids & put things away.

We have an entry code to the building, and another entry code to the classroom.
We used to just walk her into the classroom but they recently changed it so now we sign in using an ipad outside and a teacher meets us at the classroom door.

the building has a key card thing to get in, with a security person, and then the room has an entry code. and then there's a sign in/out sheet. but then parents play with los in the room for at least 5 mins or so, until the child is comfortable saying bye, so a drive by drop off wouldn't work anyway, though since it's nyc very few people drive

You have to be let in by the receptionist (it's daycare, preschool and private k-8) then there is a sign in/out sheet in her room.

We have to buzz and sign in at the front desk. Each child gets their own sign in sheet. If someone other than the approved people (which is my mom) we have to let them know ahead of time.
