So I am going through all these old photos to (finally) make a photobook of the time I spent living in Ecuador (anything to not study for grad school finals, right?), when I came across this:

hmmm maybe bungee jump illegally off a bridge. i jumped forward, they manually pulled me back up, and then i jumped backwards again. i was the only girl who jumped twice - everyone else chickened out. it was probably the scariest thing i ever did.
i also went scuba diving on a 100 foot deep shipwreck with almost no visibility and very strong currents. that's not the deepest i've been, but it was definitely the scariest dive i've been on.

That I can publicly share? Skydiving. Or ziplining 850 feet above ground on one of the world's longest (almost a mile long).

@Alivoo01 - We went in Puerto Rico! It was a blast but the weather was overcast that day and I didn't make it to the end of the zipline! I was strapped in in a superman position (stomach down) and got stuck, hanging there! Someone had to come out and get me, LOL.

Probably skydiving, but even that, I admit, isn't that badass since I was strapped to an instructor. I've done interesting things, but maybe not so badass.

I'm afraid of heights so I haven't done a lot of "extreme" stuff, but I traveled solo for 5 summers in a row for 2 months each time-- all over Europe, to India, to Argentina, all over Mexico by bus and ride shares, and to Guatemala. I also lived solo in Ho Chi Minh city for a summer and in Zimbabwe a different summer, doing volunteer work. I think that's pretty badass, it it's own way, since lot of women have a fear of traveling alone for long periods of time.

I've hitchhiked and ridden in the back of a guy's pickup truck in the middle of the night on the interstate when it was 40 degrees and raining. We thought it was badass at the time (friend and I). Now i think it was just stupid. lol. What a rush though.

I'm terrified of heights so I've never done anything like skydiving or bungee jumping (and I never ever will) but I did get a tattoo when I studied abroad in Costa Rica during my junior year of college...that felt pretty badass.

I used to urban explore in college. Basically, it means that you sneak into abandoned buildings and explore and take pictures. We had a few close calls with cops and homeless people. Safe? Not really. Legal? Nope. Fun? Hell yes.

White water rafting on the Zambezi River, a Category 5 river that apparently have crocodiles. I don't swim very well either. I haven't rafted in years.

Hmmm....well I have been Bungee Jumping and Skydiving, and back packed in New Zealand.....
But I think some of the most "Badass" things I have done were when I was in the Military.
Some of the training I went through was pretty intense. Like getting to shoot dif weapons, but best would prob be S.E.R.E school. (Survive, Evade, Resist, Escape) Its a survival shool to teach you to evade and resist getting captured if you ever were in the situation. Litereally out in the woods with no food or anything, hiding and surviving. Eating whatever you can find including bugs, and rabbit, plants. If you dont get caught you have to turn yourself in eventually to go to a POW type simulated camp where you littereally get beaten and interrogated. Not much I can get into as far as details besides that...but honestly was one of the best things I have ever done.

I taught a TRX class at 39 weeks pregnant. I'm sure I've done something more awesome than this but just can't think of it. Also this seems to get me more street cred than any of things I've done that I think are awesome.

Cut off 13 inches of my hair off myself when I was in high school

Kicked a client out of our homeless shelter for having a six inch blade out. I was nervous, but more so because I felt bad about it. He came back after he "hid" it. I'm sure it was still in his pack. I didn't care as long as he wasn't waving it around! I felt bad because the reason it was out was because he had broken into my office for me (my coworker had the keys and was an hour late) but still...you can't have a knife out.

I'm pretty cautious, so I don't have too many stories to tell. I helped pull the senior prank in high school. And I confronted a pick-pocketer on the metro in Barcelona. That's about it.

I went up in an acrobatic plane once. We did barrel rolls, hammerhead stalls and spins. I almost threw up from the gs which may subtract slightly from my badassery.

Hmm. Scuba diving in St. Lucia (I was petrified!) and cliff jumping in Hawaii and in Spain (where we then body rafted down the rapids and scaled the next cliff). I am sooooooo scared of heights!

Devil's Pool in Zambia! Scariest thing I've ever done for sure. The ledge behind us dropped down into Victoria Falls.
The guy behind us is even more badass though!
