I think work-life balance is when I'm at home and feel like I've done well at my job that day but I can now focus on my home life without feeling any guilt or obligation. Of course, there are days when I have to bring work home with me but there are no pressing and immediate deadlines that takes my peace of being at home away.

And then when I'm at work, I feel good about being at work and can do my job well, without worrying about anything at home.

After my mat leave ended and I went back to work, it took a good month/6 weeks before I felt like I had the hang of it. My transition wasn't as smooth as I had hoped.

To me, it's being able to have enough time to fulfill my personal, work and home obligations. Time is a finite resource, so I want to spend the hours I do have either being rewarded emotionally or monetarily.
