We go to a few different ones. My favorite is a smaller group.... it's actually for ages birth to 18 months, but it's such a small group (sometimes just LO and her cousin!) that it doesn't really matter, they're just happy to have people. It's very interactive. The kids get to help turn the pages of books and help put things on the felt board. LO loves it there.

We also go to a mother goose story hour. There are more kids so it's harder to be interactive.... but LO doesn't understand that and always tries to go help turn pages. They do some fun things that LO loves, like beat a drum and jump over a candle stick (jack me nimble, jack be quick).

Today I went to one that I didn't love. First thing the librarian said was that if they don't sit still or make too much noise to take them out. They're toddlers! Then she read 3 books in a row. I'm used to variety- book then song then instruments, etc. Kids aren't going to sit still through 3 books in a row. But at the end there was a fun craft- they decorated flower pots with stickers and then planted seeds.

We've also been to a few that are just singing and dancing, but the timing for those are always bad for me.
