My three year old anytime I tell her to do something she doesn't want to do:

DD: "you are being a mean mommy"
Me: "no i'm not..."
DD: "yes you are. look at your face."

No idea where it came from.

And she had her first (and second) instance of telling me she wasn't going to time out.

Dd has been telling me "I can do whatever I want to!" When I ask her to do something and she refuses. She also tells me "keep your hands on your own body!" If I am trying to hug or kiss her and she doesn't want me to!

Also, if I say something she doesn't like she just makes this noise that is horrible! It's like a whine/scream thing. Omg.

My 2 year old runs and "hides" if she doesn't want to do what she is asked. This consists of running into closets, her play tents and twisting herself into our drapes. It's annoying as F.

My 2 year old just delays, negotiates, or runs away from pretty much everything. The simplest things like changing her diaper or getting her into her coat take about 20 minutes now. Plus she has all these little rituals that we have to go through that take forever, and she is constantly making up new ones (and when we do something wrong or out of order, she freaks).

My 6 and 3 year old have been having a hard time listening, being respectful (mostly my 6 year old which then of course my 3 year old copies), and rough housing (when I ask them to stop, they continue and get hurt).

Asserting his independence. I love it on one hand but on the other hand, I can't hear him say "My Turn" one more time.

Not listening is the most common. But she is also hitting and screaming a lot too. I hear 4 year olds are better but I hope it gets better. Not sure I can take another 5 months of this.

At this exact moment? Not napping. She's just been driving me bananas in general lately. Extra clingy, not listening, constantly making some kind of extreme sound. Seriously. Sometimes I want to yell at her and then I remember that she's only 2. But dang. Just quit being 2 for a second, please.
