When you BD during prime fertility, do you lay flat or elevate your hips afterward? For how long? Or do you just go about your business?

Sometimes I elevate my hips, sometimes I don't. I probably lay there for 30-45 minutes. Sometimes DH lays down and we chat or if he doesn't have the time I turn on Netflix and watch a show then get up.

I put my hips on a pillow and my legs up in the air for 20-30 minutes. Then I laid flat and went to sleep and tried not to get up (except twice I woke up an hour later and had to get up - bathroom one night, forgot to put the towels in the dryer the next)

@blackbird: I don't smoke. I'm more like "bitch do me. Then give me food."

@blackbird: I asked him if this makes me a hooker or a desperate housewife, and he didn't answer me.

Our first was an IUI and they told me to lay flat for 10 mins after while saying it really didn't matter. With the twins I got right up and went to the bathroom, so I'm thinking nothing is truly necessary.

@marionberry: Same here.
I have gotten pregnant three times getting up right away to go pee. No UTIs for me.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Hilarious! One time my DH got me Thin Mints afterwards He's a keeper, obviously!
@SimplyFelicity: Good to know in case I ever need to get up! I've worried about the UTI aspect but I'll still lay around for a awhile if possible.
After my loss in October, my mom and I had a long heart-to-heart about fertility and such, since she tried for 18 months to conceive #1 (me!). It was a good convo, except for when she tried to "help" me out by telling me there's "special" pillows you can buy for this express purpose! Um no mom, no need for a special pillow! Normal ones work just fine....

I lay flat for awhile, sometimes I elevate my legs. I am not prone to UTIs though!

I elevate my hips for about 5 minutes, then lay flat for another 10 minutes or so before I doze off.

The month I got my bfp, DH and I would BD at night before bed and I just stayed in bed and fell asleep after. Not prone to UTIs. We did that every night for like 6 nights.

You all are cracking me up with the food delivery!
We don't usually BD at bedtime, so I usually lay there for a bit debating how important it is for me to stay flat vs. how much work I have to do.
