DH thinks the names I like are too long! He always talks about not wanting his kids to have too much to bubble for scantron exams in college. I always tell him that there won't be scantrons in the future....

That is the funniest reason i ever heard! I guess every second counts on exams.
He didn't like that i wanted traditionally boy's names as girl's names (e.g., Hayden, Avery, Peyton). He thought it was weird. In the end we chose a name we both liked.

He thought a lot of my choices were "hipster" or "old lady". lol. I'm still trying to figure out what the hell he means by hipster names.

My husband had a long list of "no-goes" that ruined many of my favorites:
* Cannot be in the top 100 baby names
* Cannot sound too southern
* Cannot have religious connotations
* Cannot be the name of anyone we personally know
* No weird spellings
* Cannot be the name of a month or season
He is ridiculous.

Some of the names I had liked DH and all our guy friends said sounded like "stripper" or "porn star" names. And some of them were so classic, but they all came up with these websites that are "known" by these super girly names.

He didn't like some of my name girl choices but they could be boy names. But that's what I liked about them in the first place! Like Billie, Sam (Samantha), Aerin. UGH.

He says my names are too weird. He prefers more classic names. I love the name Aurora for a girl, but DH said um no that name is too weird.

He says the names I like are old fashioned. I think his tastes tend to run a little 80s trendy.

My husband is a teacher so he has a ton of name associations with current and past students... definitely complicates things! I've also been told that some of the names I like are "too Irish". We do have one girl name and one (maybe two) boy names we agree on, though.

@MrsRcCar: I will forever think of Sleeping Beauty with that name! Love it!
