I'm feeling the itch to rearrange..
we have a useless tv stand right now. it holds some random xbox stuff in the side cabinets but doesn't fit anything else! considering using our 9-cube organizer underneath it (still full of toys) and putting xbox, fios box and router on top!
(ETA: our tv is wall mounted)
what do you use as a tv stand? bonus points for photos!

@sorrycharlie: yes! It's awesome! It's a blade less Dyson hot + cold fan. My brother got it for us after his visit last summer because he was afraid LO will hurt herself on our regular fan.
The TV Stand is from target years ago! It's held up well through a dog, toddler and a move.

awful picture, but yeah. the fios box is on the top shelf above the xbox. those side cabinets? fit nothing. useless, haha. I was wondering if it would work to replace that with her 9-cube toy organizer, and put electronics on top. my only thing is trying to figure out how to deal with all the wires/plugs, because I want to secure it to the wall.

I love ours. It's a sloane leaning entertainment center from crate and barrel. The bottom shelves hide the xbox, dvd player, cable box etc. that's the internet router (the white thing)

@sorrycharlie: if you own you can drill a hole in the wall and run all the wires inside the wall? That's what we did.

@locavore_mama: we don't..we rent from my ILs. we plan to buy in another year or two, so would be a hassle to have to repair everything afterward..
eta: the issue isn't so much the tv cable (that's the easiest/"Flattest") but more so all the things from the xbox (hdmi & plug), fios box (plug, hdmi, coax) and the router (plug, coax). I could always put the power strip on top of the cube I guess? with the power strip on the floor, the cube couldn't get close enough to secure I don't think. not with the bracket it came with anyway!

We have a media center for all our devices and blu rays. Overflow goes in the bookcase next to it.

I love our TV stand! I used to work in the Magnolia part of Best Buy (where the fancy TVs and home theater systems are) and was able to snag one of our displays for a crazy price when it went clearance/discontinued. It's solid wood, is enclosed but has ventilation for my electronics and pop-out rear panels with good access for my speaker wire, the glass is IR-friendly so that my remote control still works through it, and it has a special spot for my center channel speaker so that you can't see it but it still sounds amazing.
Okay, I'm done being a nerd now. Here's the picture! (not my living room...this is the online pic of it that I sent DH when I was buying it.)

@sorrycharlie: They sell things that kind of look like molding strips that attach to the wall and keep your wires inside, you can even paint them. Wiremold and cordmate are the main two I'm familiar with.

@LindsayInNY: Probably about two years old? The brand is Bell'O, they probably have some other similar styles but this is model WAVS-333.

It's solid wood and probably one of heaviest pieces of furniture we own! We need a new speaker set up, but xbox & playstation on the right, blu-ray & stereo are underneath, and movies in both side cabinets. If you look really close you can see where my Husband's dumb dog chewed on the corner of the door, I was so sad 
We could hang the tv from it too, it has that option, we just haven't.

@Crystal: We do too! We currently have one that my husband got from Big Lots in his single days. It's falling apart on the edges, doesn't have any doors, and just needs to go. Unfortunately, it's not our highest priority right now.
