A spin off from the books you hate thread! I'm always looking for new books since I get sick of reading the same ones over and over to lo 
Our favorites:
"Subway" illustrated by Karen Katz-- I've memorized the words and we recite them when we're on the subway, lol loooves it
"I love you as much..." this one makes me teary, haha
And then we read lots of Moomin and llama llama books

I love all of the original Berenstain Bear books. I do not love the new ones written by their son that are in your face religious.

I love llama llama books, where the wild things are, anything by oliver jeffers, the bear series by karma wilson (especially bear snores on), jamberry...so many!

Another fan of the Llama Llama books here! My LO knows all the words to the ones we have, so she "reads" them to me.
There are a few Boynton books that I think are really cute. For some reason, I also love "My Many Colored Days" by Dr. Seuss (it's not one of his normal ones).

@nana87: I Want My Hat Back is my husband's absolute favorite book to read. We got it when I was pregnant with E, and he started practicing voices then.
I currently enjoy reading Where the Wild Things Are, Peanut Butter and Jellyfishes, Good Night, Good Night Construction Site, The Gruffalo, and the Llama Llama books.

There are so many, but a new favorite is Dream Animals by Emily Winfield Martin. The illustrations are beautiful and the words are really sweet. DD always requests it before bed.

School teacher and lover of children's lit, so my list is super long! The one I love to read to my daughter right now is "I am a Bunny." She prefers interactive books, but that's one I make her sit through because I think Nicholas is so cute and love the changing seasons.

@lovehoneybee: awww I love the idea of practicing voices for it! my lo repeats "okay thank you anyway" back and it's too cute
@petitenoisette: before I had lo I took a video of my oldest niece singing "snuggle puppy" while "reading it" (she was prob 2.5 at the time) and it was so cute, totally made me want kiddos!
@Adira: I've totally cried reading it to lo! And now since she's such a big girl (22 motnhs...) I cry when she points out the baby on the last page since she's not a baby anymore 
Another one I love is Ida Pearle's "The Moon is Going to Addy's House," it's and really beautiful

My son adores Dear Zoo (loves to make the animal noises) and Blue Hat, Green Hat. He likes his touch and feel books with textures and the ones with flaps. He likes Goodnight Moon and HUG but I think only because DH has been reading it to him since he was born and its familiar.
He also likes books with pictures of real people in them - but he also pretty much only likes TV shows with real people in them too (he vastly prefers The Wiggles to cartoons or Elmo, for instance).

Personally I like the Llama Llama books! DS likes this book called "I'm the Scariest Thing in this Castle" we got from the library. It's really dumb but he loves it.
