We just have a basic Sony baby monitor, but I really wish we had a video monitor. Maybe we will splurge for baby #2 in the future. What kind of monitor do you have?

We started out with an audio monitor, but when LO was around 8 months she started getting her limbs caught in her crib and it really started freaking me out. I never knew if she was crying just to cry, and if that was the case me going in there would just make her cry more and then she would never nap, or if she had her leg caught in her crib. So we bought a cheapo video monitor and life has been so so much better.
I used to think it was silly because we have a teeny tiny house and we can hear her fine even without the audio monitor..... but we can't SEE her!

We have the Motorola (3.5) digital video monitor. I haven't used it too much (LO sleeps in a Rock N Play sleeper next to our bed), but I really like it so far.

Hubby's cousin has a Summer Infant video monitor. She has two kiddos and it works well.

We have a Foscam security camera and we can see our LO on our phones or the iPad. We LOVE it and couldn't imagine life without a video monitor (although we didn't get it until LO was 5 months).

We have a Lorex 3.5" color monitor that we bought from Costco and it was a great buy for $150.

We have the Angelcare....we got it on deep discount (like fifty bucks), we don't use the pad underneath. We probably waste it, but it was at such a good price it was hard to say no! We just got a philips video monitor that has wireless so it goes to your iphone....that was a Christmas gift, haven't needed to set it up yet since he's still in our room though. Not sure the name of the actual monitor, but I'm sure you can google to find out. It seems pretty nifty!

We have the Foscam. As SammyFab mentioned, it can be viewed on the computer or mobile device. We set it up so we can pan around the entire room, which was great when I couldn't find the cat and discovered she was in the corner of the nursery. It has infrared for night vision. It has audio capability, but we don't use it since our home is small. We originally had the basic model FI8910W, but DH decided to upgrade to the HD Vision FI9820W. I never thought I could love a baby monitor, but I do!
ETA: You can usually get the FI8910W on Amazon for less than $100.

3.5" motorola! i love the thing, even though she's rarely out of my sight anyway.

Summer Infant baby touch. We liked it until the video part started working intermittently. Their customer service was no help, so we just might get the Motorola one instead.

Same. Motorola monitor. It's awesome. I had the levana one before and this motorola one is so much nicer. Most moms I know who start with a sound monitor end up getting the video one!
