We use cloth most of the time but we use disposable when we run errands, go on vacation or when LO has a diaper rash that requires a heavy duty cream!
We have tried:
Pampers Sensitive Swaddlers- I love these but they cost a lot!
Pampers Swaddlers- too much fragrance for me
7th Generation- leaky as an overnight diaper
Honest- cute prints but leaky as an overnight diaper
Target- I'm currently using these and they are affordable but leaky as an overnight diaper.

Always Huggies Little Snugglers/Movers. She had Pampers in the hospital and I did not like the fit.

-Swaddlers Sensitive-current fave, buy on Amazon S&S
-Swaddlers Regular-have a box at daycare for LO
-Pampers Overnights-got them in a size bigger for sleep. So far so good.
-Honest Co.-leak city. I spent two-three weeks cleaning blowouts thanks to these diapers.
-Target-just didn't do anything for me. Favorites of friends of ours, but were so so for us
-Huggies-hated them, never bought once we ran out of them

Pampers Sensitive Swaddlers- Awesome diapers, love them.
Honest Diapers-hate them. They're cute but that's all they are. Gave LO crazy rashes.
Pampers Cruisers-Love them. Glad to stick to Pampers after our hiccup with Honest.

We love Pampers Sensitive Swaddlers. DH accidentally bought a pack of regular swaddlers and I'm not as impressed. Target Up and Up are just okay.

Pampers Swaddlers - NB-1 but kinda expensive
Pampers BabyDry - My go-to now if I'm buying Pampers. Cheaper than the rest and keep lots of wet in!
Target brand - on par with Baby Dry, don't last as long.
Walmart brand - gave her diaper rash

Pampers Swaddlers - got a lot from the hospital/shower and they were great while we used them
Costco/Kirkland - okay at first, but then started giving J bad diaper rash
Target - our go to diaper now. They work for us, cheap and easy to pick up

We're a CD family as well, but use disposables for vacations longer than a weekend.
Pampers Swaddlers - work well, but hated their smell, dry and wet
Pampers Sensitive Swaddlers - work well, hate their wet smell
Huggies (not sure which type, the big box from Costco) - work well and don't smell *as* bad as Pampers

Pampers Swaddlers/Sensitive - love them both. Get them S&S from Amazon.
Huggies - didn't like the fit.
Kirkland - the fit seemed very strange and more blowouts.

We use mostly cloth and I l-o-v-e them. For disposables we've tried:
-Pampers Sensitive Swaddlers - Love them! They fit him really well.
-Luvs - these sucked. I felt like I was putting a paper napkin on DS's butt. Blowout city.
-Huggies - DS peed out the side tabs of every single diaper. We ended up giving the rest away!

Huggies smugglers: big miss. Blow outs and leaks. Constantly.
Pampers Swaddlers : loved them but size fours aren't available in Canada.
Pampers cruisers : OK. But it really bugs me to have a huge cookie monster face on her private parts. And I hate that they show through her lighter clothing.
Target : tried them on a whim when they were out of cruisers and totally prefer them. The smocking/ruching on the back gives us a way better fit. They are kinda weird when wet though.

I will only use Pampers Swaddlers or Pampers Crusiers (although I prefer Swaddlers), I've tried Huggies, Up&Up, Luvs, ect. and none of them work for her slight frame like Pampers!

Pampers Cruisers: liked, but felt damp after a long night!
Target: leaked poop 3x, didn't try anymore after that.
Luvs: fragrant but after airing out, I love them!

Pampers baby dry = scented and leaky
Huggies snugglers = leaky, didn't fit correctly
Luvs = leaky
Target brand = okay but felt damp from the outside of the diaper, wouldn't say they are leaky though
Huggies movers = leaky

Pampers - love them. I love the yellow stripe that turns green when they are wet!
Huggies - love them. They also have the yellow stripe.
Asda's Little Angels - like them. They don't leak but they don't have the wetness indicator.
Sainsbury's own brand - terrible. Every one leaked, even during day time.

@autumnlove: wal-mart over night diapers have been a life saver for us! Not a single leak yet and he's a heavy wetter at night.

luvs: don't know what kind...leaked
Huggies: don't know what kind...leaked
Pampers cruisers: leaked over night.
Target: we've had no problems.
Walmart overnight: not a single leak yet
Pampers swaddlers: work great for both kids, too pricey

I really wanted to like the Kirkland brand, but they were leaky. I also wanted to like the Honest diapers, but they had so many shipping snafus those first weeks, it wasn't worth it to me.
I like Pampers Cruisers.

-Pampers swaddlers (sensitive and non): loved them both!
-Pampers baby dry: Very absorbent but didn't fit that well and were smelly.
-Pampers cruisers: Love them! They recently changed the design and I've noticed that they smell strongly when DS wets his diaper. They fit really well though!
-Huggies: Leaked and smelly
-Pampers Easy Ups: We've been using these overnight for our diaper escapee. They run a little small but have been fine otherwise.

@illumina: to answer your how many question, C is 11 days old I we have roughly 6 diaper changes a day, or slightly more. But we also always waste a couple a day when she pees or poops on the changing table. Hopefully well stop wasting so many once we get better at the changing thing.
We used huggies at the hospital and have pampers swaddlers at home. Prefer pampers.

DS is 80% potty trained! Whoo!
But before, we used:
gDiapers biodegradable inserts for 85% of his diapering - love, although from 12-16months he became a heavy night wetter, so we had to use regular disposables.
Naty by Nature Babycare - great green diapers, no leaks, and I liked the very subtle prints
Molotex - another green disposable that work just fine since we can no longer get Nature babycare here.

We've been using Pampers Swaddlers and Huggies Snugglers with no issues (though if we're slow to move up to the next size,, we do get leaks with the Swaddlers, but I think that's a sizing issue, not a Pampers issue). Daycare changes him every 2 hours, regardless, so I'm sending them the box of Luvs I got at my shower and once those are gone, I'm sending Target diapers. I'll probably continue to use Pampers for overnight though!
