Telemarketing, waiting tables, temping as a secretary

The summers I was back at home with my parents I went back to the job I had in high school--shelving books at the library. One summer I also worked at a daycare. I worked while in school my last two years, grading papers for a 2-credit basic entry-level environmental science class (the professor was my thesis advisor). During the summers I worked at an outdoor/nature summer camp as a teacher. It was fun!! I was never rich but at least made enough to go out with friends and pay rent

In undergrad during the summers I worked in a central reservations office for the 2 big hotels in my hometown. I only had to work during the school year my senior year, and I worked the front desk at a small local hotel. During grad school I had 2 jobs - Customer Service/Bridal Registry Consultant at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and then I also was a counselor for the travel day camp at the local JCC. THAT was the best job I've ever had.

I worked a couple customer service jobs and had an internship at a small news station.

I waited tables and worked for a dermatologist who did cancer research. Then i had a paid summer internship for an aerospace company. I also had a short term, one-semester job helping run a basketball camp for 3 and 4 year olds.

I had work study, so through that i worked for the activities director, as a receptionist for the Prospective Student Financial Aid office, and in the financial aid call center.

I worked the counter at the local pizza shop/diner taking orders and busing tables.

On summer break I worked at the local elementary school camp, and the retail job I worked in HS.

I did a 6 month 40hr/week co-op at the company i work for now. I also worked part time for them 1-2 days a week for the 15 months until i graduated and they hired me full time.

I was a dogwalker as an undergraduate . In NYC it can be a career! I walked some famous people's dogs. I also handed out free newspapers at Penn Station. I was broke!!

The first two years, I did admin stuff around a consulting firm (like photocopying and organizing their library). The last two year, I worked as a research assistant in a lab for one of my professors.

I worked in retail full time. I was the assistant to the personal shoppers at Macy's for a few years and I was also team lead for the bridal registry for a couple years. They were great jobs because they were flexible with my schedule and I didn't have to be on the floor all the time so I could get all my homework done.

I worked at a salesperson at nordstrom and i worked for the development office at my university.

I worked in a supermarket (bakery, grocery & checkouts) and in a deli/cafe.

Receptionist, work-study in our psychology department (I was a psyc major), and research assistant.

Wow so many people had jobs during school! I didn't have time for a job during school terms. (In fact I didn't know anyone in school who had a job... And it wasn't because I hung out with rich kids.) However, during my non school terms I did internships with various tech companies.

I worked in the ER while I was an undergrad. I had already been working there while in high school.

I worked as a pharmacy technician and a hostess at a restaurant.

I had a work-study in the Marketing and Communications department, and then I worked a few different places in the summers: I was a receptionist one break, a cook at Pizza Hut, and a daycare teacher.

I had a work-study job all through college. First I was the receptionist at the academic resource center, then I was a volunteer coordinator for a program with a local elementary school (that job was way better). I was also a nanny during my senior year.

During the summers I was a lifeguard at a summer camp for the first two summers, and a nanny for the last two summers.

I sold alumni association memberships during one quarter of the year then temped in summers.

I had paid internships all but 1 semester of college (one of the semesters I was abroad). I interned at a research institute and a news agency, which I LOVED. During the summers I worked restaurant jobs in addition to interning and taking summer school classes.

I worked for a golf pro and had paid internships at a large pharma company.
