We drink regular cows milk, fat free or 1%. We aren't too picky. Do you and your SO/kids drink the same kind as you?

I'm a fan of non fat but I am trying to gain more weight so I'm drinking the same whole milk that LO drinks.

I drink organic skim. Dh is lactose intolerant so he drinks smart balance lacrose free, fat free. Lo drinks organic whole milk.

almond milk...from whole foods or trader joe's usually (same with DDs, but the youngest still nurses too).

Almond milk because I'm slightly lactose, but sometimes I'll have non-fat milk.

We drink 1%. I grew up drinking skim, but I prefer 2%. I settle on 1% for the lower fat
@artbee: Do you regularly keep 3 kinds of "milk" in the house?
nectarine / 2039 posts
2% but we will switch to whole milk when LO starts to drink milk: I'm not into buying two different kinds of milk and we're not picky with the type.

i prefer skim, but DH likes 2 %, so we split the difference and go 1%. whichever organic brand is the least $$.

Usually almond milk, though I prefer the taste of coconut milk. Sometimes we get organic soy. We like to change it up :).

@BabyBoecksMom: dh doesn't drink milk, I only buy his kind for cooking purposes. But usually.... Yes.

Organic 2%. I don't "believe" in skim milk once LO is old enough to drink whole cow's milk I'll just drink that.

Almond bc of MSPI but man I love a cold glass of good ok cows milk! When I can again I plan to try natural farm fresh cows milk.

@regberadaisy: yay! let me know how you like it! FWIW I know many people who are lactose intolerant or MSPI and CAN drink raw milk
I drink raw milk straight from the farm and I LOVE it. I think store-bought milk is gross now. We also drink homemade coconut milk sometimes.

Organic unsweetened soy milk. Most soy milks have sugar in them, so I specifically buy the unsweetened.

@Mrs. Pen: That's so funny--my grandparents on both sides were dairy farmers (before they retired) and I always hated their raw milk growing up and I still don't like it! My grandmother would even try to trick us by putting raw milk in an empty milk container, but it was so much thicker and has such a different taste, we knew what it was!!!!!!
I think it's mental, but still the thought of real, raw milk straight from a cow makes me want to gag. Of course, I have morning sickness, so I want to gag at the thought of a lot of things....lol

2% organic. i used to keep coconut or almond milk around the house but i've switched to regular dairy

2% or soy. Hubby doesn't drink milk unless he's eating cereal, but he prefers 2%.
honeydew / 7916 posts
I drink raw milk and DH drinks organic lactose free 2% (only because we can't find whole milk for him).

I used to always drink skim, but think I'm going to switch to 1%... it tastes so much better! And now that I "need the calcium", I think it's the perfect excuse!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
we drink regular old skim milk. sometimes i buy whole milk as a treat for our coffee (in place of the skim).
I tried organic when I was pregnant but it just didn't taste right haha. When LO eventually has milk I'll have her on organic.

I hate milk, but we always have 2% Lactaid for DH so on the rare occasion I have cereal, that's what I'll use. I've been trying to keep Kefir milk in the fridge so I can get more calcium too. I like the flavored ones from Trader Joe's.
