I love pie! Costco's pumpkin pie is sooo good. I also love apple pie with a crumble topping!

We have apple pie, pumpkin pie and cookies.

Pumpkin bread, or a roll could be good. or, another fruit type bread, like banana nut bread.

We do apple pie and pecan pie, but also chocolate chip cookie pie (right from the recipe in the back of the tool house chocolate chip bag). It is soooo good, basically a giant chocolate chip cookie, and I usually put vanilla ice cream on top.

Last year we had sweet potato pie, apple pie, banana pudding, pound cake, and shortbread cookies. I had vanilla ice cream and strawberries on hand for those that wanted to add to their desserts.

If I was so inclined to bake I'd make something with sweet potato, pumpkin, apple (w/ or w/o other fruits) for example: sweet potato cheesecake, pumpkin bread, and apple pie. Or another trio: sweet potato pie, pumpkin cookies, and apple crumb cake. Oh and brownies whether all chocolate or made with toffee would be a yummy 4th dessert.

We just like the classics: apple pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie

@loveisstrange: I'm not really a pie person, but the best pie (and maybe one of the best desserts overall) I have ever made was an apple pie with Smitten Kitchen's all butter crust. I think the apple pie recipe I used was a random google, mama Opa's pie, or something like that. It was to die for. I was a pie convert while it lasted!

All kinds of pie - pecan, pumpkin, apple, chocolate! Don't need anything else but pie & whipped cream.

DH's family does not eat pie of any kind on Thanksgiving. The first year I almost called the cops on them.

I don't like any traditional Thanksgivig desserts. I signed up to bring a kid friendly dessert along with Mac n Cheese, so then there is a dessert I like!

Your two pies sound yum! For the third, I love smitten kitchens gramercy tavern gingerbread bundt cake. It is so yummy and screams holidays to me. A nice alternative for non pie lovers too :).

The BEST pecan pie I've ever made (and eaten, if I'm honest...) is http://www.chefeddy.com/2012/11/port-chocolate-pecan-tart/. They're super easy, and no corn syrup is a must for me -- these are custardy rather than sticky.

Ina Garten makes a pumpkin roll I've been dying to try! You should make it and let me know how it is My mom always makes pumpkin and apple pies.

I like apple and pumpkin pies...this year I had wanted to do something more sophisticated, but given everyone's food coma, it's probably a waste.

I'm not a fan of pumpkin pie, especially store-bought. Store-bought crust (almost always) just sucks. A pumpkin trifle might be good too, and would be pretty easy.

Or gingerbread. Oh mannnnn do I love gingerbread.

@loveisstrange: I have a pumpkin cheesecake recipe I really like (and is easy to make) if you want pumpkin but not pie? I can track it down if you are interested.
