Our library right in town is pretty small, so the kids section isn't very large. They have a table for coloring, puzzles, Legos and a few stuffed animals. So not much!

At ours, I don't think there are any toys. At the one the next town over (the same distance for us), there is a separate toddler playing area but mostly just puzzles/blocks. DD wasn't that into it the last time we went.

The library has these Little Tikes plastic puzzle pieces that connect together. That's it! There are also computers, but my kids just head straight to the books.

Puppet theatre, soft stacking blocks, foam blocks, an activity table...and a pretty large comfy kids section.

In the baby area there are 3 activity cubes and some cardboard Melissa and Doug blocks. There are also iPads on the end of some of the shelves at kid level with educational apps and on the others there are puzzles. During baby story time they bring out bins of toys, books, and puzzles after the songs and stories are read.

I live in a fairly small town, but there's tons of kids here. They just updated the kids area of the library with a bunch of new toys. Kitchen, cars, huge dinosaurs, big barn with animals, stuffed dolls in all skin tones (love!), puzzles, puppets... I love it! They have a small couch and chairs around for story time, plus 5 huge low bookcases with am the books! I will definitely be using it more this summer when it's too hot to go outside!

They have those bead toys on the wall, like an activity cube, last time DD just wanted to sit/climb on every chair

Computers, floor things they can stomp on (that have like fluid inside), little spinny chairs, puzzles, books (obviously), stuffed animals, TV screen that shows announcements, that's mostly it

I go to two libraries and both are 7 min drive..
One of them has
-5-8 m&d magnetic pen toys
-one chunky construction puzzle
-Lego diploma with Lego table
-2 computers with the fun learning games.
-scratch paper and crayons available with desks.
The other one has tons.
-scratch paper with crayons
-puppets and small puppet stage
-magnetic easel with numbers/letters magnets and those spinny magnet thingies
-5-10 chunky wooden puzzles
-cars and trucks
-mailbox
-hammer and nails pegboard toy
-bunch of animal dinosaur figurines
-a few other random toys
-recently they had a toddler size cardboard castle too
-2 computers with learning games
After story time they also bring out tons of soft blocks for stay and play. It's awesome. Has a preschool vibe and we stay for hours. They're also really loose about eating rules so all te moms bring out the lunches and snacks.. A big play date every Thursday..

Our library doesn't have any toys! I wish they did! Just books (duh) and little tables with chairs and benches for them to sit at and read. Man, some of these libraries sound nice!
