I really want a vitamix to make green smoothies! Also I want to get a pressure cooker, but I'm worried that it'll just be another thing that takes up space that I don't end up using!
What about you?

Yup, a super blender would be AWESOME. And a kitchenaid mixer. And a deep freezer!

I'd love an ice blue Kitchenaid Professional (I have the standard version in white...and am just drooling over both the colour and the raising/lowering arm).
I could also do some serious damage in a baking supply store.

Definitely a KA mixer!
@banana: DH promised me that we can get a deep freezer when we don't live in this rather small apartment!
pomegranate / 3113 posts
@redsmarties: I'd love to upgrade my KA mixer, too! I don't know what color I'd get...I have a silvery-gray one now and like the color but want the additional capacity and power
Otherwise, I'm not really craving much but that's because we have an obscene amount of kitchen gadgets already. Maybe just one of those nifty grilling pans for the bbq that you put sides like veggies or small things like shrimp in so they don't fall through the grill slats?

Well I live in an apartment without one, so... A dishwasher!
And when I get my dream kitchen, an induction stove.
We have all the little stuff we need thanks to our wedding guests!

I pretty much have everything I need/want in the kitchen. Except my mom just showed me this neat pineapple corer she got so that might be my next purchase.

a mixer! preferably a kitchen aid! am so sick of mixing stuff by hand, omg.

@lovehoneybee: I want one so bad! We don't know where to put it though! We have a garage but it's packed with boxes right now. A deep freezer would be awesome!!!

Ice cream attachment for the KA! Or a deep fryer.

I'd love a kitchen aid mixer But I'd also take pretty much anything...we didn't have a wedding registry so we don't have much beyond basic pots & pans!

A gas stove. I have our electric one and it would cost too much to wire and dig under the house and yard to get gas.
honeydew / 7488 posts
Me too.. Vitamix or a super powered juicer. I kind of also want a pizza stone..

I think a bread maker would be fun but I'm afraid we would use it a few times and then it would collect dust.

I'd love an upgraded stove. We have an electric stove with those pop-up grates. I just want a flat top stove!!

I just indulged in a zojirushi and mandoline... So I'm good for a while!
bananas / 9628 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: i was making a cucumber salad the other day and thinking, 'man, i wish i had a mandoline!' i think i need one, which one did you get?
beside a mandoline, i wish we had a friggin ice maker! we have a nice big stainless LG, but the thing can't make me ice cube and that makes me irrationally angry.
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@mrs. bird: De Buyer. It's really good and you can't chop a finger off!
honeydew / 7687 posts
@sunny: I was the same way; I bought a cheapo bread machine from goodwill ($7) to see if I used it often... I loved it and used it until it died and then bought a nice one!
I have a ton of gadgets... it's embarrassing. But I use all of them! I regret waiting to get a food processor, I've loved it. But I want an immersion blender for soup season

Fancy knife set. We have a combination of knives that we've both had since college. They sharpen up okay, but I'm really hankering after a couple of nice Shun knives.
An immersion blender would be nice too. Looking forward to the weather cooling down and soup season.

@Mrs. Bee: I love my Vitamix! Making smoothies becomes so much easier, and I justify it as a purchase towards my family's health.
I'm eying a Dutch oven and dishwasher right now.

I want a mandoline and a vitamix. Might get the vitamix next time I am at Costco.

@locavore_mama: I have an ice cream maker attachment for my KA and I LOVE it!

fancy juicer and a garbage disposal! and a new fridge and oven and dishwasher and a washer/dryer...

I was going to say Vitamix too. We have a juicer but I sorta want a Vitamix to make smoothies. We have a Magic Bullet but it takes forever....
bananas / 9118 posts
@mrs. bird: same here! I have simple wishes
@Mrs. Jacks: thanks for the recommendation, looks perfect and saves me some research time for that Christmas list!
Well, that and new kitchen counters, but I have to finish re-finishing our cabinets before we get there (almost done!)
clementine / 797 posts
I want a Brivelle toaster oven but we have very limited counter space. My big kitchen aid mixer gets a ton of use so it gets the much coveted space. I'd also like a good gas stove and a double oven set up and ample storage space for my various tools, pots, pans, and all the bar ware we got as wedding gifts. But that ventures beyond gadget wants and into remodeling territory for sure.
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@PointeShoesTutus: so we have that toaster and I don't love it. The settings reset themselves to different numbers every time you unplug it and the lever can be a bit wonky. There are other more highly recommended (and cheaper) toasters.
blogger / nectarine / 2608 posts
@mrs. bird: That mandoline is the "swing." Try Amazon, too. I bet you can find a deal if anyone can. It is a very good mandoline.
bananas / 9628 posts
@Mrs. Twine: oooo, on amazon they also have it in orange! i love it! if i can hold out til christmas, maybe i'll put it on my christmas list if cave ahead of time, i'll need to go with a less $$ one, this one seems to have decent reviews and for less than $20, it might serve me well until one of those nice swing mandolines are in the budget

I always have a long list. Too long to list without feeling embarrassed. So I'll just list one, which is a crockpot that has different settings, so you could brown your meat directly in the crockpot and than switch it to cooking for the day.
I'm also about to buy a spiralizer.
bananas / 9628 posts
@Happygal: i have a slow cooker, pressure cooker, rice cooker, in one and you can brown in it too! it's awesome, i use it multiple times each week
