When I see other moms at the mall wearing heels, makeup, and stylish clothes, I get jealous. I feel jealous that I'm not a hot mom. Just call me Mrs. Frump-a-lump!
Does anything make you jealous?

Ditto! I saw a mom the other day at the gas station. She had on a really cute outfit, was good looking, had her hair and makeup all day. She was hot. Me? I was in sweats and a sweatshirt, slippers, no makeup, no shower, hair falling out of my bun, and no bra. I hate hot moms!

i'm not a jealous person but i do get a little jealous about the moms who seem to be able to do it all. have 3+ kids, a side business, blog, craft, cook, have a beautiful home, and look great doing it!

Not a mom yet, but I still get a little jealous when I see successful career women who have children. I work in a field that requires long hours and lots of travel and when I work alongside a woman I know has children, it takes every fiber of my being not to blurt out "how the hell do you do it??" I just can't imagine ever being able to balance everything.

I "hate" hot moms and cute pregnant ladies... I see the skinny girls with the cute baby bumps and I want to cry... I am so jealous

@cyndistar3: totally agree! I hate when I see a skinny mom whose baby is younger than mine. I should be skinny first!

@artbee: It always makes me feel like I should stop eating and run 5 miles twice a day as soon as the baby comes out lol

@cyndistar3: Lol. Usually though the skinny mom's have skinny babies. And my LO is anything but skinny. I like to think that my getting chunky helped her get chunky, and I love a healthy, chunky baby!
@Rubies: I'm not jealous at all of mom's in heals and makeup. I think they're crazy, and I'd much rather be comfortable.

I never actively thought about it until I read this thread. I am jealous of the moms who have frequent playdates with their babies. I feel like I am a lot older than most moms around here and the language barrier doesn't help either.

@artbee: I always thought it was the other way around almist all the skinny moms I know have little chubby babies and then y daughter was only chubby for the first month lol

I'm jealous of moms who seem so calm and collected right after giving birth. I was a disaster for probably the first 6 weeks - very emotional, crying and feeling overwhelmed. However, two of my close friends had babies after me and when I saw each of them one week after birth they were completely fine! I don't know how they did it.

@looch: Me too! I have a friend who always posts pictures from her 2 month old's play dates. I don't have any mommy friends near me, so it's always just me and my LO.

@rsp213: it was probably bc you were there. Honestly. I too was a crying, hormonal, emotional WRECK the first 6 weeks. But when friends came over, I tried to act as normal as possible...even if they had babies too. I dont know why. I guess I wanted to feel normal so I acted that way. I seriously doubt they were totally fine, almost nobody is =o) Those hormones are a bitch

@rsp213: Everybody has their breakdown moments, you probably just caught them at a good time. I cried because I didn't have time to write thank you notes. Really. That was my priority. But my friends didn't know I cried over such silly things, only my hubby was lucky enough to witness that.

I hate the moms that rebounded so quickly after birth. I basically lost no weight at all and there are moms that are back in their pre-pregnancy clothes like 2 months later. Wth? My director had birth almost 2 months after I did. When she came to work she looked SO great and I was like, "You're so obnoxious! You couldn't let yourself go even a little bit". Hahaha, I was kidding... kinda :oP

I'm jealous of families who can afford to have a parent stay home with the child. I would like that option, even if I went crazy at home and had to go back to work. It would be nice to have one of us raise our child instead of sending him/her off to daycare.

Yes! Those who stay skinny while pregnant! I eat a great diet, I exercise and I still swelled up like a balloon to where I can't wear pants or shoes...

Oh, @mediagirl- that's another thing I'm jealous of too.
Haha, I swear I'm not just a big ball of jealousy. But that would be so great to do. While I'm grateful for the career path I am on and for my college education, I wouldn't mind taking a step back to spend more time with my baby for awhile. I just think mother's should be allowed, without question, to spend at least the 1st year with their child.

I'm jealous of the women who have a pregnancy "glow." All I've got is HORRENDOUS pregnancy acne.

@artbee and @livsmama - I'm sure you are both right and they were putting on a good show for company. I just felt like I was doing something wrong to feel so much like a zombie compared to them! Luckily I didn't have to put on a show in front of my family and my husband which helped me get all the crying and freaking out out of my system
