Girlfriend has been cruising for 3 months. She took a couple steps the beginning of January. She isn't walking yet! Mama is getting impatient! She will walk everywhere if we hold her hand, but if we let go she sits down. She took more steps on Sat but like none today.

say mama (meaningfully)! He started babbling mama at 7 months, but didn't say it toward me until 14 months!

First word! LO has been chattier this week, much to my relief, but he still can't seem to form any consonant sounds. He is not even close to saying real words and this mama is getting impatient. Harumph!

Walk! He started army crawling at 5 months and I thought for sure I had a early walker on my hands. He didn't walk until nearly 13 months.

R rolled back to tummy at 3.5 months old a few times. She's now 7 months and still has yet to do it consistently.

A took FOR.EV.ER to roll consistently! She's 8 months old and just started about 3 weeks ago.

DS took forever to do a lot of things, except sit up unassisted!
Still waiting for him to walk! -
@swedishfish: R never just rolled around like I heard other babies did. She would roll on her tummy and just stop.
@chopsuey: He is cruising though! He will probably beat R! She is being a slacker

My daughter took her first steps unassisted on her first birthday, but it took like three more months before she was really walking. Slacker!

Crawling! He's done a weird one sided army creep since before Christmas, but no real crawling yet

Walking. He cruised for what seemed like ages and started walking at 15 months. Now it is talking! He's 21 months and he's coming along sloooowly with his words. He is verbalizing more, but he is in no rush to tell us all about it.

Walking for us, too! Girlfriend has been cruising for forever and has taken a bunch of independent steps. Like yours, she'll walk while she's holding our hands as well, but as soon as I try to get her to walk unassisted, she'll plop down and refuse to walk. I think she's capable of walking, she just is comfortable crawling and prefers that. I hate the question - is she walking yet? I'm so inpatient!!

Roll to her back. She did it a handful of times early one (2-3 months?) when she hated tummy time. They she figured out how to roll to her tummy and after the first week of freaking out because she was stuck, she loves it, sleeps on her belly, plays there... but still doesn't roll onto her back. Ever.

@swedishfish: DS is 10 months and has never consistently rolled. He has been able to since 3.5 months but has never really been interested.
I want him to say mama! He is saying the mmm sound, but he won't say mama, little brat!

Being in any kind of crawling position... not even crawling, just attempting! He hates being on his belly and flops back over as soon as he lands there.

@Smurfette: I think the cruise to walk transition usually takes a couple months, so R is definitely right on track. Sadie was cruising end of September, and didn't start walking on her own until end of December.

Clapping! He was walking and saying words around 11 months, but didn't get into clapping until 13.5.

Walking! She can do it now but only does it when she wants.

I am still waiting on walking at 14.5 months! he has been crawling since 8 months and standing and cruising FOREVER. He recently has shown us that he can stand by himself, but only does it for a few seconds. as soon as he has realized what is happening he sits down immediately or grabs onto something!!

Walking for us!! She didn't cruise much, and would hardly walk with holding hands - she just waited until she was ready, I guess! She was 16 months when she started walking.

She rolled back to tummy super early, around 9 weeks, and didn't roll tummy to back FOREVER. I think it wasn't until around 5 months!

@sslm: we were the same! Took forever to roll from tummy to back.
And clapping. He finally started clapping last week at 10 months. -
Crawling. My daughter did it at like 5 months, my son did it at like 8. We had to finally bribe him.

Walking seemed like it took forever. He was cruising and crawling by 8 months but didn't start walking until 11.5 months. Now it's talking. He's 15.5 months and only has like 3 words and he's not consistently saying them.

Same, walking. She's been cruising for ages, occasionally stands in her own, but always sits down and never tries to take steps unless we are holding her hand.

Talking. She babbles alot and can say mama/dada when she wants to, just waiting for more words!

walk! olive walked at 18 months. it was tough since she was a second child so she couldn't really play in places that required walking until then.

Walking! M is just starting to walk (but still isn't very into it) at 16 months.

Crawling. But as soon as she did she got up and cruised so there was barely a crawling phase.

Sit up! LO rolled both ways super early. He would stand on his legs while holding on to my hands and he learned to play "peek a boo" wayyyy before he sat up unassisted. He is almost 9 months and he's been sitting up for about a month haha

his little cousin is 3 months younger and walking already. He walks great while holding our hands. I'm so sick of the "oh he's not walking yet...?"
