My name (Erin) was always really popular in school. In every class I was one of multiple Erin's and had to be referred to by my first name and last initial.

I'm from NE so most Irish names were big like Kathleen, Caitlin (in various spelling), Katherine, etc.

Stephanie is another one I don't see on here yet, and Courtney. And of course Ashley, Jessica, Jennifer, Sarah... I think it's interesting that you don't really hear babies being named these 80's names now - probably because their mommies and daddies are so sick of those names!

Jessica, Michelle, Michael, John, Jennifer, any form of Chris, any form of Cat.

Well, I'm a Meagan, and there were tons of those (with every spelling imaginable). Also lots of Kates and Katies (my sister, ha!), and tons of Ashleys, Sarahs, and Jennifers.

@eeh: I'm Erin, too, and I rarely had another girl Erin in my classes, but there was always a boy Aaron, which made me also have to do the first name last initial thing--I hated it!
I remember a lot of Caitlins, Sarahs, Jessicas and Ashleys. For boys lots of Matts, Johns and Chrises.

When I was in school my own name (Jessica) ran rampant as well as Stacey, Jennifer, Kelsey, Jordan, and Matt.

@Rachel: I feel like anyone wanting a name in this day and age that ISN'T going to be overused but also isn't out-there weird, needs to go back to those 80's names. Seriously...if you name your kid Asher or Harper or Riley or Henry or Charlotte, there'll be another one in their class. If you go with Jessica, most likely no one else will have that name now
