Matchbox cars from Cars 3. Mater kept her busy for 30 minutes on an airplane recently! Also a set of Hape wooden blocks that we've had forever but just got pulled out from the bottom of the toy box. Love those new/old toy discoveries.

@erinbaderin: Story of my life with the 3 and 5 year old. There was a squabble (seriously! I'm not making this up) over a piece of athletic tape/wrap this week. I feel your pain.
Nothing really "new" in the world of toys, but all new to our house:
DD1 (5): Shopkins
DD2 (3): various Sofia the First dress up items and a set of various skin toned, rainbow-haired Chelsea dolls.
DD3 (7 months): Anything she can get in her mouth, especially if I have my hands on it first - like parts of a project for DD1's class party favors, my iPhone, my necklace...

Their blow up pool, that is currently in our living room with no water. They've been playing in it (like a fort) for the past 3 days, haha.

DS (18 months) is obsessed with chalk. Every single time we walk to or from the car, he goes over to where we keep the chalk and gets it out to play. I have to let go of my desire to keep him clean, I think ... haha.

A hammer I left out...and a real tool set from Ikea that I left out while fixing up her room. She also really enjoys playing with the pieces of her potty that we're not using yet.

I don't feel like my kid likes toys lol. He plays with things "the right way" for about a day and then after that it's all just a collection of random things for creative play. For instance, today, daddy was the villain he wanted to keep out so he used a bungee cord, a baseball tee and his shoes to create a trap across the gate. He's always been this way! He's 4. The 16 month old loves his cozy coupe.

@youboots: I wish my kid would be into Maileg! I used to imagine her gently tucking in her stuffed animals. Our reality isn't so gentle

18 and 21 months. The hose, especially if it's running a little. Stick horses (we removed the stick part so they're really just horse heads). Real ponies and goats. I guess they don't play with toys that much right now!

@youboots: My daughter just discovered these as well! She picked out the first one at an outdoor market and then my in-laws bought her one that's the Tooth Fairy. She loves the box as much as the mouse.

My just-turned-1 yr old is obsessed with this little activity cube she got from great-grandparents for her birthday: https://www.walmart.com/ip/VTech-Sort-and-Discover-Activity-Cube/49869044. Actually, I should say, she's obsessed with the shape sorter side of it. So maybe we should just get her a shape sorter.

My 5 year old is also obsessed with legos! It's fun seeing what he comes up with. He also likes his doctor kit and is always giving everyone in the house a check up!
