Can I say my boobs? I don't know what we would've done if I wasn't able to breastfeed. Aside from that, definitely the Boppy in the early days and the video monitor once we put him in his own room.

Lots of things I love and *need* but I think maybe the Moby is number 1. She hated the car seat and stroller in the beginning (and still isn't a big fan at 9 weeks) but the Moby would settle her right down when we got outside. I didn't expect to really use it but borrowed one from a friend, thank god. It enables me to go places and get things done, and more often then not she will snooze in it if I walk long enough.
Honorable mention to the video monitor (can't believe people can live without one), RnP, and sound machine-- we just have a basic one but it does the job. We are visiting my sister next weekend and all of these items are coming with us.

I have a 5 yo girl and 3yo twin boys and they all still sleep with their angel dear loveys! They each have 3 that I rotate for home, daycare and washing. They are still a MUST in our home several years later...

@blackbird: We have this sound machine, a few of them in fact. I left the Sleep Sheep at home when I visited my parents at 8 weeks old. I ran to Target and found this. Best thing ever. LO likes to play with it now.
Best gear: My Brest Friend pillow, sound machine, video monitor, A&A blankets, flannel burp cloths, and newborn kimono tops.

Mobywrap and Ergo - Our LO is not a fan of carseats or strollers and pretty much wants to be up and carried at all times. The wrap and carrier have been back-saving and sanity-saving.
MamaRoo - We didn't get one until she was already 8 weeks old. I thought they were a waste of money until we realized that our LO did not like her swing (which was gifted to us) and I reeeeally wanted to put her down in something for longer than 2 minutes without her crying. We tried a friend's MamaRoo and LO was sleeping in it in minutes. After a bad night of rocking her in my arms, I made Hubs go buy one. When we brought it home, she proceeded to fall asleep within a minute and a half of being in it.
A&A Bamboo Swaddle Blankets - I thought a blanket was a blanket until someone gave us these. So soft! Yesterday when LO had a poop-blowout while we were out and had to have her clothes removed, I fashioned a toga out of one of these trusty blankets in order to get her home. Because they're so big and soft, it was easy to do.
