I loooove a ton of P names - Piper, Penelope, Pippa... but we have a P lastname and PP just wouldn't work

I loved the name Axel/Aksel and DH really liked it too, but the reactions we got to people (on HB and IRL!) were enough to make us think it might just be too out there. Maybe if I was a celeb or something haha!

DH loves Tolkein (the writer, not the name!) and suggested all kind of out there names from his books - but they were just too weird for me!! He also kept suggesting Ethelfrith - it started off as a joke but he brought it up again and again until I said "you're not joking any more are you?" and he admitted he actually liked it. Eek!
I know its probably not so out-there where most of you ladies come from... I really liked Summer. It's not used much in the UK and DH said it was too weird (hello - Ethelfrith??!).

@Cherrybee: I love love love the name Summer but my neice's name is Soleil and DH thinks they're too matchy. I also love Autumn but DH said no to that one too.

@Mrs. Jacks: Glacier would have been such a cool, meaningful middle name for your first! Of course, I am partial to her current middle name, as well.

I love Aurelia and Theodore but DH nixed both of them. He also said no to Leo and August.

Yes, I love her real middle name so much!

There are so many names I love that sadly are just too rhyme-y with our last name. Last names can be so limiting!

Sylvie.
It is my ultimate favorite name but we have too many Ss in our last name.

I also would've loved to use my maiden name as a child's middle name but it rhymes with my married name. Argh.

I also love the name Eden! It is one of my favorite girl's names. DH's old boss (who he is still very friendly with) named her little girl Eden though so DH took it off the table. Le sigh.

I love the name Wyatt for a boy but we have a W last name it did not work.
Also, Elodie for a girl (Ellie) but DH though it was just Melody with the M off of it.
Other names we liked but couldn't use: Dexter (before we watched the show) & Stella (we have a niece Ella)

I would love to use my maiden name but its actually a tad too popular for our tastes. Maybe if it comes down in the next couple of years. Damn you T-Swift!
