@artbee: I'm with you on the shoes! My 7.5 month old has never worn shoes and someone had the nerve to comment on that saying she wasnt fully dressed without shoes!

@sarac: Nope, not alone. I'm not a fan either. I know someone that actually used the Angelcare + Snuza + other monitor all at the same time... I call that crazy, not careful.

car seat protectors! ummm heads up, you're having a baby, nothing can protect you anymore!

@matador84: Like the ones that protect the seat of your car? Or is there some other kind that protects carseats?

@Mrsbells: my lo is 16 months and still not a real walker so I don't always put shoes on her if I'm just running into the store. Her feet wont touch the ground. Sh says she looks like white trash without shoes... But I still think of her as a baby and in my world babies dont need shoes!

Im with the wipe warmer...my thinking is if I am out in town or NOT at my house, LO is going to get it at room temp. Why get her use to a nice warm one when she isnt going to have it all the time.

Those giant headbands. I just can't! I envision her one day going "omg..those giant headbands of 2012.." Like I goof on the weird outfits my mom put us in in the 80s and 90s!

@Thenetexan: Yeah I saw that but they all have some color strip going through them: orange, pink, green, blue. I just want a clean, white, simple box with nothing on it. lol

@sorrycharlie: lol I'm so that mom with the headbands!
I don't understand bumbo's...they are so pricey!

@artbee: with you on the shoes. I didn't start putting them on my prewalker until it got cold. Next summer she can choose when to wear them when they're not required.

We love Sophie and have 4 wubbanubs. I have tons of headbands and bows but just can't do the crocheted headbands or the big flowers.
The baby item I think is silly is a baby bath. We have one (huge) bathroom and I have no desire to store a plastic sink sized contraption after every bath. We use a $6 bath sponge from Target whch does great and is small enough to hang on the towel bar in the tub. Oh and don't even get me started on the inflatable tubs. Seriously..who has room for that?

@artbee: I find that funny because I hate shoes too, but I put them on her mostly to keep her feet warm. I'm guessing in florida you don't have that kind of problem. I also use shoes to keep her socks on her feet around the house so that her feet don't get cold.

@sarac: Agreed on the Angelcare monitors, I feel like that's a little over the top. Although we did get a video monitor for the baby, so I'm guilty of being mildly over the top

@sarac: I'd be on anxiety meds without my angelcare monitor!
I haaaate the blankies with the stuffed animal attached:/
But I am guilty of the overpriced designer clothing and the shoes:/ I figure I can hand them down to my sister's future kids though!

I'm so the mom with the headbands and bows too! lol. I don't do super huge ones though.
I really hate Robeez and baby Uggs. I think they're hideous. I also don't get "boutique" baby clothes. My friend is obsessed with Persnickety and Matilda Jane and she spends like $50+ on one outfit for her 6 month old, not to mention that it's not that cute. Ridonkulous.
