I think tonight I'm going to make the giblet stock I need for my gravy and stuffing. Also I may bake the bread for the stuffing and chop up all my vegetables.
Tomorrow night we're going to bake the pie and cornbread, and I will finish the stuffing (before it goes into the bird on Thursday morning, and into the oven after the bird is done) and prep my creamed corn.
Also, while we're waiting for the pie and bread to bake, we'll vacuum and mop!

Umm . . . making a packing list for our (relatively) short drive. I am baking a pie for Friday (our after T-Day at home tradition) and boiling eggs for deviled eggs, but other than that . . . nadda!

Tonight I'll start to marinate/brine the turkey, sautee the mushrooms for the green bean casserole/stuffing, make cranberry sauce, and clean up the house some more.
Tomorrow night I will assemble the green bean casserole and stuffing so they're ready to go in the oven day-of, bake the pumpkin cheesecake, and make sure the table is clear and house/kitchen are tidy.
Thanksgiving day I'll roast the turkey, assemble and make the sweet potato gratin, boil and make mashed potatoes, make gravy, bake the green bean casserole and stuffing, bake the rolls, and EAT MY FACE OFF.

I got behind this weekend so I am grocery shopping tonight. Fortunately I am off Wednesday so I am cleaning, making rolls, making cornbread and biscuits for dressing, and maybe chopping vegetables.

This weekend I did most of my shopping. Wednesday I start with the prep - chopping all the vegetables for the stuffing, making cranberries, making pie crust.

@CMOMMA17: @lovehoneybee: @leilalou:for those of you who bake the pies ahead of time, do you warm them up during dinner? If so, at what temp? And do you undercook them a little when you bake the first time?
It sounds smart, but I've never tried it and I'd be afraid of drying out the crust.

Just shopping and making sure I have all my ingredients. I'm only in charge of 3 sides (pre-made stuffing, brussel sprouts with bacon, and sweet potato casserole). Will make everything the morning of, since we don't need to be at the ILs until 2p.

@mjane: hmm, I don't plan to. But this is also the first year I'm in charge of pies! We always ate room temp pie that mom cooked the day before, or you could warm a slice up in the microwave if you wanted. I wouldn't underbake. What type of pie are you making?

I am in the process of making a chocolate crumb cake to taste it. I have to make sure the recipe is good enough for Thanksgiving...if it is then I will make another one tomorrow night.

i made the brine today, and will put the turkey in the brine tomorrow night. tomorrow, i will make cranberry sauce, cornbread, and butternut squash soup.
thursday is creamed corn, garlic mashed potatoes, and roasting the turkey.
stuffing/dressing is from a box (i've never made my own and i'm scared to mess it up!), and gravy from a can. pies from marie callender's!

it's Thursday tomorrow for us, so today I went final grocery shopping, started the stuffing and will cook the pumpkin pie.
I might have to speed defrost my turkey so I can start brining it tonight too. it's still frozen pretty solid, despite being in the fridge since Monday afternoon!!

Today I shopped.
Tomorrow I have to take my grandparents to the bus station in Orlando so that will take half the day, and I have thirteen (13!!!) papers due on Friday and I've only done four so I'll probably try to knock a few of those out tomorrow as well before making the pies, chopping the veggies, and possibly assembling a casserole or too.
Everything else is going to have to wait till the day!

@mjane: sounds yummy! I bet both if those are great warm. I definitely like my pale pie warm. I think you would be okay baking fully ahead of time and warming a few minutes in the oven the day of, before serving!
