My son is turning two soon, and I'm trying to decide what to buy him. I usually like to buy one big present and a few smaller items. Does anyone have suggestions on things two year olds seem to love?

I was literally coming here to ask the same question. Family is starting to ask what she wants and we are stuck. I think we will ask for a balance bike from grandma but otherwise in stumped.

@Foodnerd81: I'm thinking about getting a balance bike too. They look like a lot of fun!
@Smurfette: Those are good suggestions. I might consider a train table, since he doesn't have one of those yet.

Our DD's favorite gift from her birthday that she plays with 8 months later is a toy grill, it's smaller than her kitchen so she moves it room to room. Other hits were water table, wagon, and tricycle.

We got our daughter a kitchen for her second birthday, and she loves it. I imagine she would love some kind of bike or scooter though. She also loved art supplies, sand and playdoh stuff.

For something smaller, or an idea for family, I bought all my daughter's friends backpacks from the SkipHop Zoo line for their 2nd birthdays and they were a HUGE hit.

I'm thinking of getting a Mini Micro scooter 3-in-1 for our LOs 2nd birthday. I have seen some kids as young as 25 months using them at the park.

@Truth Bombs: which backpack did you get? What size? In thinking C would like that but it's hard to judge the sizes on the Internet.
@Anagram: was also thinking about this scooter.
A lot of really fun suggestions just don't work for our city condo
I think she would love a water table but I don't particularly want to set it up in my living room. We make do with long baths.
