I am not much of a baker but I have perfected the chocolate chip cookie. It took me a few years to get it just right. What recipe do you have down to perfection?

I found an easy fudge recipe that has gotten rave reviews. And it's super easy. Also, chicken pesto pasta.

This korean braised short rib dish called galbijjim.
Can you share your perfected choc chip cookie recipe? I'm always on the lookout for a good chocolate chip! Is is the kind where the edges are a bit firmer but the middle is soft and chewy?

@Mrs. High Heels: I would love your recipe if you wouldn't mind sharing! My BFF's grandma makes the best I've ever had, and I have not been able to recreate it. It always turns into an oily mess.
I make a Chinese egg and tomato dish, but I don't feel like any of my other recipes are perfect yet...

I'm also interested in your perfect chocolate chip cookie! Is it soft and gooey???
@T-Mom: I'm interested in hearing about your chinese egg and tomato recipe! I'm always on the lookout for Asian recipes!
I do okay following recipes, but I don't think there's ONE thing I can replicate every time perfectly.

Blondies. I use a Martha Stewart recipe that everyone loves. Also, my banana pudding is a huge hit among friends.

Chili. I think it's the only dish I totally wing without a recipe!

@Alivoo01: oh goodness it is embarrassing how simplistic it is. I do a 6 eggs to 3 medium tomato ratio. Whisk the eggs and salt a tiny bit, maybe 1/8 tsp. Cut tomatoes into eighths. Cook eggs until firm, but still tiny bit underdone. The key is not to move them around too much and to make large folds of eggs. Remove eggs and set aside. Cook tomatoes over medium heat, salted to taste (if your eggs turned out too salty, can make tomatoes more so, and vice versa) and with a pinch of sugar until softened and barely holding shape. Combine egg and tomato in bowl. This is my mom's style, but everyone's mom does it differently. My Korean BFF looooves this but I also had a friend spit it out once because it was way saltier than her mom's

Buttermilk biscuits. I'm really picky about biscuits and it took like two years of trial and error to get it perfecetly right.

Definitely my pumpkin cheesecake. I make it a few times a year for the holidays and is probably the only recipe I have memorized!

I make a delicious Chicken Pot Pie. It's my go to whenever I take food to someone who is sick or has a new baby. Always a hit. I also make lots of good appetizers/dips.

Guacamole! The last time I brought it to a party, no one believed that I made it. Which is weird because guac is pretty simple.

I feel like I can make a number of good things, but I don't know that I would go as far as saying I perfected them.
@Bao: @Mrs. High Heels: Would love recipes if you wouldn't mind sharing.

@Mrs. High Heels: @Boogs: It's the basic recipe on the back of the Nestle Toll House chocolate chips (milk chocolate). I put in all the ingredients but I skip the vanilla altogether. Everything goes in, but the flour goes in last. After the flour goes in instead of mixing it real thin, I kind of fold the dough over with a spoon until it is well mixed but sort of chunky. I just drop them on to the pan and don't roll them/smooth them in any way. I set the oven to 25 degrees less than what the recipe calls for and they go in for exactly 9 minutes. No more. No less. Perfect!

Sugar cookies, from scratch. I make them on a regular basis so that it's almost second nature to me. Although I'm a little rusty with a LO running around, I still find that I know the timing well enough so that I can -feel- when they're done rather than keep checking on them.

Fried chicken. I don't make it often, but I used to crave fried chicken like crazy and started making it myself because they don't have fried chicken joints here!

Mac & cheese! Actually, the Pioneer Woman perfected mac & cheese, I just made it even better by topping it with bacon and sauteed onions. It's enough to make a grown man cry.

White pizza. I'm pretty good at stopping when I'm full, but I always overeat with that one.
