Mrs. Nysmith in third grade pushed me so hard and taught me so much. I learned to speed read from her, and that changed my life.

Mrs. McAllister in fourth grade gave me positive feedback on a research paper. It came at a key point in my development, and had a huge impact on my confidence. A single comment from her may have changed the trajectory of my life!

Mrs. Ilgner in sixth grade opened my mind and taught me how to think. Her favorite saying was, "It's not better, it's not worse: it's just different." She was the first person to really teach me what tolerance meant.

(All these teachers were from public schools.)

What school teacher (or teachers) changed your life the most?
