HIMYM for sure.
I thought Arrested Development was taking a turn in the beginning of season four but it finished to be better than I expected.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: So there was an episode of Happy Days where Fonzi literally jumped over a shark on water skies. After that the show started to decline (in a fashion that it really couldn't spiral back up).
Nowadays it more describes a show that loses whatever made it great and slowly (or quickly) starts to suck.
"Jumped the shark" is the tipping point between awesome show and show that just becomes lame, ridiculous, or just worthless. Or describes a show that was great and has just become way to drawn out (like HIMYM).

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I think it means gone downhill?
I agree about HIMYM, can't stand Barney and Robin anymore - maybe because their together?
The final season of 90210 was nothing spectacular. And True Blood has gone too far out for me.

HIMYM, for sure .... how many times can Ted remember that he loves Robin? It's not an effective tease when we *know* she's not the mother. ugh. /end rant.

Two & a half men! But that doesn't count because their main character was replaced so, it was obvious it would go downhill.

@FutureMrsMcK: @PurpleUnicorn: ahhhh, thank you!!
In that case, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. It used to be sooooooo funny. Then it just got too over the top, crass, and just ridiculous. The most recent seasons have not been funny at all.
