I ordered LO's Halloween costume from a random site on October 12th. I found the site via Google shopping, and the site says that has been featured HGTV, Extreme Home Makeover, etc., so I thought that it was legit. On the site, it says that all orders placed by October 23rd will arrive in time for Halloween.
Well, I received a confirmation number and an e-mail that said my order was "processing." The money was taken out of my account. However, I received no e-mail with a tracking number, or even an e-mail saying that my order had switched to "shipped."
Over the last two weeks I have called at least 10 times, left multiple voicemails, and NEVER gotten ahold of a real person. Their phone tree says that all of their representatives are busy, and it immediately sends me to a voicemail. I have e-mailed at least three times as well. No responses.
Well, today I go to their website and there is this SUPER weird message that goes across the top of their screen. It says "Please do not call us asking for a tracking number. 98% of all orders have already shipped. We will send you an e-mail with your tracking number once we have it."
Ummmmmm seriously?
Anyway, DH checked out the company on the BBB. On there, the company has nothing but complaints. About 75% of people say that they NEVER received an item, and NEVER received their money back.
I am pretty sure this is what is happening to me. How the heck can I get ahold of someone to get my money back? How is it okay for them to get away with basically stealing money? What steps can I take so action is taken against them--they are obviously NOT legit, yet the are still in business and taking people's money.
I am so mad. And I am mad that I will have to shell out another $30 to buy LO another costume..
PLEASE HELP ME.
ETA: The website is http://www.ledchristmaslighting.com
See the weird message in red at the top of the screen?
ETA again: I know ledchristmaslighting.com is a random place to get a costume, but I found a specific Christmas Tree costume that I wanted to get for her, and this was one of the only places that had it in stock in her size.
Is it the Christmas tree costume?
