Growing up, I played tennis and basketball (not in leagues though). I swam and played soccer in a league, but wasn't very good at either.
In junior high I ran track and then in high school, I played football. Those were the two sports I had the most ability in. I also competed in some powerlifting competitions, but that was mostly just to get jacked to play football. I always wanted to wrestle, but never really got the chance.
In college I played rugby my Freshman year, but didn't have a real talent for it. I trained with a boxer after college, but had to stop after getting a head injury.
What sports have you played (both organized and for funsies)? Are you going to encourage your kids to play sports?
My mom said she didn't have the time or money to take us. We will definitely get LO involved in whatever we wants in hopes that it will help keep him out of trouble.
I kind of ruined things when I developed a serious eating disorder when I was 15. I was able to still participate up until my senior year of high school...and then my treatment team wouldn't let me play and I had to enter intensive treatment.
