Pro Football, hockey, and golf. Not a fantasy football guy.

He's a huge Yankees and Giants (NY football, not the SF Giants baseball team) fan.
grapefruit / 4085 posts
Fantasy Footballer here too (he's in two leagues!!) He likes everything but we have season tickets to the Jets. I swear he should be a football commentator.
He also likes to play/coach a lot of sports.

@mrsjyw: I know! I think we are going to try and make it to a game this winter. We tried going for our anniversary last year but it didn't happen. DH has been, but I never have so I'm excited!
honeydew / 7811 posts
@mrsjyw: none! And I'm so thankful for that! Although he is obsessed with video games so I guess it's a wash.
papaya / 10473 posts
Everything!
But especially the Memphis Grizzlies (NBA), Atlanta Braves, and Dallas Cowboys. He plays softball and golfs.
grapefruit / 4085 posts
@mrsjyw: Ha - I know! He hosts one but this year is going to have it somewhere else so it doesn't interfere with Lady M.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts

Pro football...he has season tickets with his dad. He's been in the same fantasy football league since he was 10 years old.
Also, Duke basketball

@Bao: so so much fun, let me know!! maybe we can get tix to the same game and meetup !

ALL of them, literally. Luckily, I'm into sports too, so it's not usually an area of contention.
pomegranate / 3604 posts
Hockey - OHL it's it the belleville bulls, NHL Boston. He also watches random stuff like u-16/19, worlds, world jrs, etc
He puts on baseball "for the noise" ....I HATE the noise of a baseball game. It's awful.
nectarine / 2220 posts
This is a hockey country (Go Canucks) but he's obsessed with that and lacrosse.
pomegranate / 3779 posts
Soccer, he plays 3-4 times a week and watches all the time! At least the majority of the games he wants to watch are broadcast on the internet, so he doesn't take over the TV. I enjoy watching the US national team games with him, but those are the only ones I like.
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
in something like this order: baseball (Mets), soccer (DC United, US team when it's country-level, and Arsenal when he's watching UK games), pro-football (Giants), hockey (Rangers), college basketball (split between Michigan--my team allegiance--and Louisville, where his mom went to school), college football (Michigan). he doesn't really care about the nba during the playoffs the games are always on at home anyway!
it seems like his loyalties are all over the place, but that's because most of them are "inherited--" his dad was from New York, for example, which is why his teams are mostly NYC even though he never lived there until 3 years ago. but that doesn't make his devotion less fierce
you can imagine how much fun it is when all these sports overlap, haha. he hogs the tv but it's usually okay--I usually am studying at night anyway. and when I'm not, I can usually get him to watch on his computer or something. Plus, DVR is huuuuuge for us--he can watch a baseball game in a fraction of the time if he watches it later. but then he's absolutely obsessive about not looking at facebook, text messages, espn, etc.

Hockey, baseball, golf, and football... probably in that order!
He plays golf regularly, and used to play hockey and baseball.
clementine / 948 posts
Michigan football. He reads the recruiting blog every single day! He is also on 4 fantasy football leagues - hs friends, frat guys, MBA friends, and w his dad. So the fall weekends are consumed by football, but I don't mind
persimmon / 1304 posts
Soccer (he will watch any teams but loves Juventus) and baseball (Phillies). That's it thank goodness.

@chopsuey119: @MsLipGloss: @zippylef: @Arden:
I'm so glad to hear my husband isn't the only one not obsessed with sports. He used to follow the Red Sox but now that we don't have cable and wouldn't see Sox games anyways, it's hard to obsess on them. I don't think he even keeps up with them online anymore!
@cmomma17: mine likes these, as well.... He dropped them for the first year of her life but recently "found" a new game he's become pretty obsessed with. He doesn't play when she's awake but he does in all the time she is sleeping.
