We are completely out of the baby stage and won't be going back. My youngest turned 2 a few months ago, and although still in diapers I feel like the baby stage is definitely finished. We are now in the toddler/preschooler stage which includes tantrums, button pushing, sibling rivalry and expressing independence.

We're in the awesome stage. 3.5 and 5! They play well together, listen and follow instructions well, picky stage is over, sleep is good!

Preschool and baby (3.5 and 4.5 months). E is really interesting, but he also pushes boundaries SO HARD. G was harder as a newborn, but she's mellowed out a lot...eats well, sleeps well, generally happy

@chopsuey: mine are almost 5 and 2.5, and I agree for the most part it's great. They play together great and are fairly independent. But then we decided to add a third and just pregnancy has brought chaos. Half the time I'm like oh we had it so good for a bit.

My son is 4 and he is in the preschool stage. I think this stage is pretty fun. He is becoming more independent and he is learning to read and write.

Toddler and pregnant! DD is becoming more independent at 2.5, which is good and bad- she loves to "be a big helper girl", but is also super stubborn and doesn't like when she doesn't get her way.

Older toddler and pregnant. Life is good right now. I'm interested to see how DD will adjust in the fall with the new baby. Right now she is so awesome.

I echo the awesome stage, @chopsuey: !! They're both a lot more independent, but at the same time still love their mommy/daddy and gives us endless hugs, kisses, and cuddles. I'm a fan of 3 and 5.

Late baby/early toddler. I'm in the "every stage is better than the last" camp right now. Love how independent she's getting! I want another but I'm almost dreading going through the baby stages again, even though I've always loved babies and loved her baby stage. She's just so much MORE fun now!

Preschooler (almost 4) and almost toddler (1 at the end of the month). It's been interesting all around. E's been big on independence and high energy. We've had bedtime struggles as the biggest thing with him right now. J's an awesome baby. He's easier than E in a lot of ways (at the baby stage) and tougher with some health issues. Once his health stuff got better, he's finally hitting milestones and catching up.

Older baby. It's awesome: she sleeps through the night and it's really fun seeing how she changes almost every day! The only part of this stage I'm not loving is the "get ALL the germs from daycare because she puts everything in her mouth" part.

toddler and preschooler (1.5 and 3.5 yo). i definitely love the older stages better. right now we're in a good stage because the toddler is starting to communicate well and the preschooler is easy to talk to. i'm excited for when the youngest is 2.5 though, that was my favorite age with DD.

@DillonLion: I'll give you some hope. My LO was the easiest baby and toddler - we never experienced the terrible 2s. She was just always a joy and so sweet and easy going. Then at 2 years 10 months she hit a contrary phase and all throughout 3 I would say there were a lot of emotions and testing boundaries and asserting independence and sassiness. I mean she was still a sweet kid and we had good days but before this stage hit I was like "she just gets more fun and I love this stage even more!" - suddenly I was like, "can she be 2.5 again?!?!" Well, she's 4.5 and I have my super sweet and easy going child back. I don't when it happened exactly - maybe shortly after she turned 4 but at 4.5 i feel like the testing and sassy phase of 3 is gone and it's back to being easy and enjoyable (knock on wood)

Toddler and baby. The baby is generally pretty wonderful, sweet and easy going. The toddler gets on my last nerve before I finish my first cup of coffee most days. I'm ready for it to get easier, please.

Newborn and toddler. Other than the sleep I'm loving it. The newborn is pretty easygoing and portable, and the 2 year old is a hilarious delight.

Preschool. She has her moments but I love it. She is so sweet and loving. She tells me 50x times a day that she likes me or loves me.
