I start work at 8 and it's dependent on where I'm working. Most days drop off is at 7:30, if I need to travel in the morning it's at 6:30.
Pick up 99% of the time is 4-415 PM.

I drop off between 6:10 and 6:45 am depending on if I have my *ish together in the morning. This morning we left the house at 6:45 am and I had to go straight to my first appointment. Usually after drop off I go back home to get work done, get dressed and then leave for work.

I leave with DD at 630-635 am, drop her at 645-7 am. Pick up is 415 pm.
DH leaves w DS at 7, drop off is 705. Pick up is 430-445 pm.
I **should** be leaving w DD at 615, however we never make that time frame bc of me. I sleep in too late! I tend to roll out of bed at 545, I shower/etc, wake DD up at 6-615 and then we are out the door by 635 ish
I'm supposed to be at work by 7 but I've basically been late ever since I took over her drop off. I feel bad about this but don't do anything to change it.

I leave at 6:45-6:50 with DD2. My husband usually leaves around 7:50-8:00 with DD1.

We leave the house at 8. Drop of DS1 at 8:30, DS2 at 8:45 and off to work at 9. I commute on foot.
pomelo / 5573 posts
I don’t do dropoff, but my husband leaves with the boys at 6:40am. I feel so guilty getting them up so early and having them be some of the first kids there but with the commutes into the city it’s the only way.
pear / 1728 posts
I leave at 7:05, drop-off at 7:15, and at my desk by 7:30. I'm really fortunate to have basically no commute.
I also do pick-up because daycare is literally across the street from my building. I leave work at 4:00, do pick-up, and we're home by 4:30.
pomelo / 5129 posts
I thought our drop off was on the early side!
I pray that DS will sleep until 5:30 so he can handle being awake for an hour because daycare doesn't open until 6:30. We start heading out the door most days at 6:15. If I'm running early, I stop at Dunkins for coffee on the way. But we're usually the first people there.
I had to move my hours to 8 to 4 and drop him off first thing in order to get to work early enough to leave early enough if I have to do pick up.

When I am on schedule...I drop off around 7:35am, pick up is near 5pm (by DH).

Ideally we’d be leaving at 6:15 but usually leave 6:25-6:30. DC is 5 minutes away and then I have about a 40 minute commute in the am. I’d prefer to get to school (teacher) by 7 but usually it’s 7:15 these days.
I’m surprised by how many of you also have to leave before 7!
nectarine / 2765 posts
I leave the house at approx. 7:30 and get to their school about 2 mins later...it's right down the street. Then, I get to work a few mins before 8am.
pomegranate / 3438 posts
I leave at 7:25 to drop DS2 off at daycare, then I drive DS1 to school, we are usually there when the gates open at 7:55 and I wait in line with him until the teacher opens her door around 8:02-8:05. I get to work anywhere from 8:30-9 depending on traffic (or if I stop for coffee!).
If we take DS2 with us for Kinder drop off then we don't have to leave the house until 7:45. But that doesn't happen often now that DS2 is a toddler and doesn't want to sit in the stroller when the playground is right there.
I can't wait for summer camp to start, no rushing out the door to get to school on time!

I'm also on the later end. I aim to leave the house by 8:45, 8:55 at the latest. Drop off for DS2 ends at 9:05 and DS1 ends at 9:15. We have a very short commute so if I'm out of the house by 8:45 I can be at work by 9, but if it's 8:55 I'll at least make drop-offs and be in by 9:10.

We leave the house around 7:20, drop off at 7:25, at work at 8.
Pick up at 5:30.

@JennyPenny: I NEED THAT IN my life... it would be perfect.
Do you mind me asking what you do?

@Ajsmommy: daycare is also onsite at my work - hence the tiny commute. I love my job I'm a software developer.

I haven't been anywhere on time since a month before I had my son, and thank God I have an understanding job.
I only have to drop off 1 or 2 days a week (nanny comes to our house 3-4 days a week, I take him to her 1-2 days a week so she can get stuff done at her house).
I leave the house at 7:45, drop my son off to her by 8:10-8:15, and get to work by 8:15-8:20... I'm supposed to be to work at 8.
I leave work around 4:50 ish and pick him up by right around 5, leave her house by 5:15. I drive all the way through town going home from her house, so we are home around 5:50-6:00

DH and I stagger our schedules bc I have a longish commute and he works longer hours. He does morning hand-off with the nanny/drop-off at preschool (8:15, 8:30 respectively) and I do afternoon hand-off with the nanny (I leave work at 4 and am usually home by 4:45, she leaves most days by 5).

Leave home at 7:45, drop off around 8:15, seeing patients by 8:30
Leave work at 4:55, pick up at 5:05 and home by 5:35ish
pomelo / 5257 posts
Ideally, leave home at 7:45, drop off at 8. Realistically? Leave at 8, drop off at 8:15 I leave work at 5, but my husband does pickup. He usually gets our son a bit before 6.

My husband does drop-off, he usually leaves the house around 7:45 (and drops them off by 8:00).

Wow, I feel like an outlier now with @JennyPenny! We don't officially have a 35 hour work week, my team is just super flexible about getting stuff done, we have several flex-schedules and a team member in the UK, so we have a lot of Slack during off hours.

Neither girls can go till 8:45 and daycare is only 5 minutes away!

7:00 to get to preschool at 7:15 or so. Supposedly they open at 7:00 but they aren’t at all ready for kids until 7:15.

My husband drops her off around 9 each day and I pick her up at 6.

We leave at 650 to be at daycare for 730. We have to take the bus because it’s the easiest way to get to campus.

Leave the house at 8am to drop off the baby at 8:05-8:10am. I don't know how everyone does it so early here!

We leave the house at 6:30, we're at daycare a few minutes before 7 and I'm to work around 7:15

We usually leave the house between 7:45-8, and pick up around 5:30. Officially drop off is any time between 8-9 and pick up 5-6.

When both kids were in daycare, I would drop off sometime between 8-8:30. When my older LO started school I would take him and my DH did drop off for DD and they left around 7:45/8:00. That was when daycare was a 2 minute walk from our apartment.
apricot / 285 posts
My husband does drop off but then shoot to be out the door around 8, some days 8:30. Daycare is about 20/30 minutes from our house. He is self employed so has a flexible schedule. I do pick up around 5.

I don’t do daycare drop off because they don’t open until 7:30 and my contract time starts at 7:45. But DH brings him close to 7:30.

@codeitall: We aim to leave by 8:50 to drop her off at 9, most of the time we don't drop her off until 9:20 or later though!
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
DH tries to leave at 8 for drop-off around 8:15. Then I pick up around 4:45. Once DD starts school, he’ll walk her to school for 8:15, and I’ll have to take DS to daycare. Not sure how it’s going to work since I’m supposed to start work at 8 AM. I’m hoping to ask for a schedule change and maybe get away with dropping him off at 7:45.
nectarine / 2431 posts
So, I should drop off at 7:15, but I am usually closer to 7:30 and it takes me about 15 minutes to be in my classroom from daycare. Daycare is about 3 minutes from home.

When I was working and both kids were at preschool we would leave just before 0800, arrive at 0805 and I would start the drive to work at 0815 to start at 0845. Once my big girl was at school we would leave home at 0800, leave preschool at 0815 to be at school by 0830 then I would start the drive to work at 0845 and start at 0915.

The plan is to put them into the car at 6 so we can be pulling out of the garage at 6:05 and drop off at 6:30, and I get to work about 6:45.
In reality, we are out of the house anywhere between 6 and 6:20(yikes!).
DC opens at 6:30 and we have fun dropping off as they literally open. There are about 6 families dropping off at opening exactly and we are all so friendly with each other.
We actually had a good laugh around Easter when DC had a Saturday event that started at 10am......the same group of families was the first to arrive at 10am on the dot!
