LO is 19 months and it is taking her 20-30 minutes to fall asleep for her nap lately. I used to put her down around midday but thought that might be too early, so I've tried pushing it back to 12:30 or 1, but it still takes her a while to settle down.
What time did your LO nap at this age?

1230. If she sleeps a little later on the weekends then we push it till 1.

Usually around 12:30. Sometimes we'd put him down earlier or later, depending on how tired he was. It still takes a little bit to wind down and be ready for a nap, and I think he tends to play in his crib for a little bit before falling asleep, but 12:30 is nap time!

I recently pushed C from 1 to 1:30. She was having a hard time falling asleep at 1, and had started sleeping a tiny bit later in the morning, so I tried pushing t back by half an hour and it did seem to help. Plus that gives me extra time to get home from our morning activity before she falls asleep.

At school he naps at 12:30 but at home we can never get him to sleep before 1:30/2:00.

We try to put her down after lunch, so she goes down anywhere from 11:30-1:00 and sleeps for about 2 hours. she's up at 630/7 for the day, though

I like to aim for 1 or even a little before but lots of times it ends up 1:30 or later because we pick up his older brother. It doesn't seem to make a difference in how long he sleeps (1-2 hours, usually closer to 1).

20 months, and it used to be 1:00 right after lunch, but he's just not tired at that time so now it's closer to 2. He doesn't sleep much longer than an hour though so we don't run into problems with waking up to close to bedtime.

DS is a teeny bit older (26 months), but he goes down shortly after lunch. Sometimes immediately after, and sometimes a half hour to an hour afterwards. Just depends how tired he seems. So, anywhere from 12:30-1:30. He usually naps until 3-3:30.

This probably depends on when the babies wake up for the day. Mine wakes at 6 at the very latest, sometimes earlier (today 5:40), and when she is at home, she's ready for a nap by 11-11:30 am--but at daycare, they don't nap till after lunch so it's closer to 12:30, and they've told me she's started falling asleep during lunch sometimes. (sad).
When she sleeps till 6 or even a few minutes after, it's easier for her to make it to noon before napping. Her daycare sheet yesterday said she slept 12-2 pm.

@Anagram: You're totally right, I didn't consider that until after I posted! My LO wakes at 8, so I guess a later naptime of around 1, probably fits her schedule better.

LO is 22mo and goes down at 1230 or 1pm. The last few months he had needed more time to wind down. So we play quietly in his room with the lights dimmed for about 20mins before I start the actual nap time routine.

He wakes around 7 and goes down around 1245. In the beginning of one nap it was closer to 1220-1230. Some days he falls right to sleep and some he lays there for a bit.

@Foodnerd81: Yeah, it's great to have more time to get home from classes etc. but it now means that there isn't much afternoon time left by the time she wakes up and I change her etc. it's like 3:30pm, and I try and get home by 5 to start dinner!

Man, these little ones nap so early! Sadie would never go down for a nap at 12 or 12:30. She wakes up around 8:30 and goes down for a nap at 1:30-2. She goes to bed around 8-8:30. She's 26 months.

My DS is 18 months. He usually wakes up around 6:30 and goes down for a nap (on average) from 12:30-3. @Illumina, I know what you mean about the afternoon passing by really quickly. I feel like by the time I've changed him and he's had a snack it is already 4:00- which doesn't give us a ton of time before we have to be back home around 5:30 to start dinner.

12:30-2:30 because that's when the entire school goes down for a nap. He does tend to be tired and wanting a nap earlier if he wakes up earlier that day.

@illumina: it's true- we pretty much do all our activities or errands in the mornings for that reason. But also traffic around here is much worse as it gets closer to five anyway so I try not to have to be driving anywhere then anyway. Oh and I don't spend much time cooking these days, so "starting dinner" for C usually means taking something out of the freezer and putting it in the toaster or microwave.

She wakes up at 7:30 or 8 and naps at 12:30 at daycare and around 1 or 2 at home. She naps for 2-3 hours.

@Foodnerd81: Yeah, the traffic is similar here too. I know what you mean about the cooking...most of our meals are just putting something in the oven or throwing some pasta together! What do you do on the weekends, still do most things in the morning? We tend to either visit friends/family or go out for the day in the afternoons...but maybe we'll have to do something different or get her better at napping out and about now it's warmer.

LO is 22 months and on the weekends goes down around 1130-12...she normally takes a really good nap 2:30-3 hours, I think she is beat from not sleepy all that great at daycare (normally only an hour or so).

12-3 but that can vary up to an hour in either direction depending on when he wakes up and what we have going on.

@illumina: I guess we don't do a lot on the weekends?? Most of the time it's not an issue to be home around 1/1:30. If we are going someplace further she will sleep in the car, but I try to only do that if we are going to be in the car for at least an hour. And occasionally we have messed with nap or skipped it but those are rare.

LO is up around 7 and daycare naps all the kids at 12:30. On weekends, she usually sleeps in and goes for nap sometime around 1.

At 18 months she is napping at 12:30 or 1, for about two hours. Naptime is 12:30 at school but at home we often are running errands or doing things that push it more to 1 or even 1:30 and she does fine. She is READY for her nap by then though. She wakes up around 7-7:30.
